Unclear explainations

I bought this book hoping that I could polish up my maths skills independently. The introduction gave me a little doubt ("all students can benefit") but I gave it a go. The explainations are just formale thrown at you with little to no explainations. The answers at the back are thrust at you without any explainations. Other (cheaper) books have explainations. This would normally need a paid tutor to explain. Waste of money if you don't have the cash to get a tutor. I would rate it 0 stars if I could.
