I was craving these for a long time, could never find them in any store anymore so I decided to purchase these Runtz in bulk.It’s just like the ones I had as a kid, they taste just the same and give me the same nostalgia when eating them. These candies were fresh, not stale, and had the same appearance and hardness as I remember. The variety in them is as the same as I remember as well, but I always end up only eating my favorite flavors of banana, strawberry, and orange!

I had a hankering for Runts a few months back, and couldn't find them in stores. I discovered that they were having some production issues and went ahead and preordered these when I could. They're fresh. They taste good. They're sugary. But has the mix always been so heavy on the orange and green colored candies (I predate apple/grape flavors existing, hence asking about color rather than flavor)? Each box (I've opened 7 of the 12) so far has been the same: tons of orange, almost as many apple, decent amount of grape, and hardly any banana and strawberry. Maybe future batches will be more even, or maybe they're just mean and withhold the best flavors from us. Anyway, it scratched the itch, and I might buy more, because even without cherry Runts, they're still a beloved taste of my youth.Update: Between a coworker's purchase of this 12 pack and a few purchases of my own, we had two that were predominantly orange, one that was predominantly grape, and one that was predominantly green. Since the cases are all from the same batch, you get a similar mix in each of the 12 boxes, but one batch will be different from another. I think there's also some slight flavor differences from one batch to another, but they're always good. FWIW, since I'm a nerd, I weighed some of each flavor, and we did some statistical flavor tracking for a lot of boxes from different batches, and if you get a batch that's mostly grape, you will end up with fewer candies. 4 of the flavors all weigh the same, but grape is about 25% heavier. I do important research, clearly.

The Wonka Runts theater boxes are such a nostalgic treat. The mix of hard, chewy, and fruity candies is super addictive, and the flavors taste just like the classic Runts everyone remembers. The 5-ounce boxes are the perfect movie-night size, and getting a pack of 12 is great for stocking up, sharing, or tossing in lunchboxes. Fresh, fruity, and fun — if you love old-school candy, these are an easy win.

Should I eat them? Probably not lol. But I still love them years later. Hard to find these days.
