Native unisex-adult Kodiak Rectangular Sunglasses

I spent several hours trying all the sunglasses at REI (the sales associate was most patient). When I put these on, it was an instant, "aaaahhhhh". The fit was perfect, the tint of the lenses was perfect, and they looked good on, as well. They come with a very nice rigid case. Not exactly a hard case, but very rigid, that holds not only the sunglasses, but also the extra yellow lenses, as well as a soft micro fiber cloth case which doubles as a cleaning cloth. Anyway, I bought them on the spot, then when I got home I noticed that Amazonwarehousedeals had a set for half price, but with no case or extra lenses, but hey, my car has a nifty sunglasses holder built in, so that deal was perfect for that particular use. Then, I bought my 3rd pair on Amazon.com for use at work (I'm a professional driver). So, one pair for walking around, one for the car, and one for work, and let me tell you, I enjoy them all every single time I put them on. I compared these to less expensive drug store sunglasses, and while those were ok, it was obvious the build Native Eyeware quality was in a different league, and the lenses of the Native sunglasses did a better job of toning down the bright sky, while not darkening everything else. Considering how much time I spend outside or driving, these are worth every penny to me. If you feel like giving your eyes a treat, I can heartily recommend the Native Eyewear Kodiak sunglasses.

Starting off with five stars here. Have owned a few pair of Native shades in the past and was thoroughly pleased with each pair. Have been wearing a different brand for about the past two years, but the scratches and etches in the lenses became too much to tolerate. I purchased these Kodiaks and from the moment I put them on I was glad to be back behind a pair of Natives. You can feel the quality the moment you put them on. I have always thought Native lenses to be some of the most superior on the market. After not having experienced them for a couple of years, that opinion is now 100% verified. Amazing clarity and comfort behind the newest lens technology Native has to offer. Putting them on in the brightest of sunlight is a joy. The fit of these shades is spot on for a medium to medium/smaller profile. The frames are extremely stylish and comfortable.The rubber cushion lining keeps these bad boys in place comfortably. A solid pair of sunglasses all around. Will update in the future if any issues arise. Perfectly happy with this purchase as of now.

Great fit and lenses for a good price. Ashame they don't include the spare lenses and hard case any longer but I think it's reflected in the price. Hard to believe Amazon can't get the sellers to fix that issue

Note that as of 2020 or so, these do NOT come with an extra pair of interchangeable lenses like they did when I first bought them in 2016. This isn't just Amazon, if you go to the Native website they no longer sell them with lenses or a hard case. This was especially disappointing for me because I'd lost the case, with the lenses inside, for my old pair. I don't know if it's due to covid - they mention having to make adjustments due to supply issues - but they no longer mention interchangeable lenses at all on their site except in the FAQ on how to do it, the lenses aren't even sold separately. All that aside, they are great sunglasses. I like the way they wrap around to block sun from the side while being good at not fogging up too much. I think the problem with my old pair was due to exposure to DEET degrading the rubber on the ear pieces and the lens coating, so be careful wearing them while you have that.

Repeat purchase

They're light but they don't feel cheap. I've been disappointed with the last few pairs of sunglasses I've purchased from other manufacturers but I'm very happy with these. Compared to Costa Broadbills these are better made and far more comfortable at about half the price.

Native makes fine eyewear, very fine. I own about 4 different pair, won't wear anything else.

I bought these to replace an identical set of Native Kodiak's that I had for the past few years and recently lost while on vacation. These are great sunglasses that I recommend, hence me buying another set, but I encourage anyone interested to go to a retailer and buy them there instead. For the same price, you actually get what you're supposed to. The product description clearly states "The Kodiak come with extra SportFlex lenses, zippered hard case, micorfiber soft case and a lens cleaning cloth." That is not true. When you order these from Amazon you get the sunglasses in a baggie inside of a flimsy cardboard box, packaged in a soft Amazon envelope. No extra lenses. No hard case. The first pair of these glasses I bought came with the hard case and extra lenses. If you go to a retailer and purchase these (for roughly the same price), you'll get the hard case and extra lenses. I'll be returning these to Amazon and finding them at a local retailer instead to get what I paid for.

Hace algunos años probé estos lentes y me parecieron buenos, pero durante mas de 12 años usé lentes para sol Oakley, los cuales son muy buenos. Cuando solicité estos lentes Native, no sabía que son fabricados por la misma empresa que fabrica Oakley, así que son una excelente opción a una fracción del precio.

Nice, but description says comes with extra lenses and hard case. It came with nothing extra. Disappointed

I've been wearing these shades for years and they are great. Perfect fit for a narrower face and the polarized lenses are great for ocean sports. HOWEVER, one box (ordered 2 pair) arrived damaged. And....THEY DO NOT SHIP WITH THE HARD CASE! This is so annoying as Amazon has not changed this detail in the description despite being told this for almost a year now. At least I got these during a strange price drop ($57/pair!).
