Affordable, dependable
Been using this every day for OVER THREE years now and it's still going strong. Easy to clean the reusable filters, easy to install, very professional looking, and easy to operate. My only criticism is the clock disappears when you turn on the fan function (so you don't know what time it is if the fan is actually on). Very affordable, but the CFM is kind of low -- so if you have a big range or cook super oily stuff it might be too weak

Love it!
We just bought this to replace an old under-cabinet microwave (our house had a vent to the roof installed, just not connected). We were debating whether to go with this model, or the all digital model that came with a remote. The reviews were substantially better with this unit (the all digital had electrical component issues it seemed). We are VERY happy with the final result. It still is partially digital, and has elegant buttons instead of clunky knobs. It looks amazing in our new kitchen remodel. This unit requires three prong outlet (not hardwired). The vent comes out of the top of the unit, although it does come with flex tubing, so you could route it back after it routes into the cabinet, though that would probably be less than ideal. It has an automatic damper already in the unit that opens and closes when you turn it on and off. It came with 6 screws and screw supports for installation, which would have probably been fine, but for the extra support, we used locking bolts. Pros: Looks high end...definitely a centerpiece. Works VERY well Cost is very reasonable compared to other models we shopped Easy to use Straightforward installation. Did I mention it looks amazing? Cons: The highest setting is a little loud, but we would only need to use that setting in extreme circumstances. Very happy with the choice we made. If I had the purchase to do over again, I would.

Powerful but Loud
I replace our microwave with this under the cabinet hood. The product looks very nice installed. Only complaint is the fan is very loud. The decibels running at level at 1 is 59db, 2 is 65, 3 is 70db. There isn't really any difference in sound level between high and low settings. With unit running in low it would still be too loud to have a normal conversation. I like the hood and the price was right. I'm going to try installing sound adhesive pads inside the chamber. Inside the hood is a lot of open volume where sound will echo which is why the unit is so noisy. Also the fan speed between the setting are barely noticeable, be nice if low setting was running at a lower rpm.

Perfect for our kitchen...
Super fast amazon delivery a day and a half. If you're at all handy with tools this is a pretty easy install. (I had to do a lot of pre-installation modifications to my cabinets since we got rid of an overhead microwave and put in this range hood. We don't have an outside duct and we cook with a lot of curry. If you go "ductless" you have to do something with the exhaust so I made a 4" x 30" x 12" vent box that sits between the cabinet and the new hood. I screwed the top of the hood into the bottom of the box and cut a 6" hole for the exhaust to enter the vent box. I made a grill from some ornamental sheet metal and placed it over the front of the box. The cleaned exhaust exits out this overhead box. It seems to work pretty well so far. I'll update in a couple weeks. The stainless steel filters that sit over the burners are a "new design" so we'll see how well they work. All else is good so far. 3 speed fan is wicked powerful on "high". Control panel is glitch free so far. Only one comment...the geometry of the unit is a little weird--the mounting surface is not parallel with the bottom edges. Hence the bottom edges (of the sides) seem to rise about an inch toward the front of the unit. I rechecked my mounting and sure enough the design is just a little weird. I'm over it now. Will update in a couple weeks. UPDATE: After a couple of weeks still a 5 star. The small bit of work I did for the exhaust is well worth it. I've installed a charcoal filter in that box so the air is even more filtered. The hood does what it's supposed to.

Beautiful Range Hood with Good Suction
We had an over-the-range microwave/vent combination that never did vent well and accumulated moisture that would drip back onto the range. When we decided to replace it we looked for a highly rated range hood with variable speeds. We decided on the Cosmo UMC-30 and did the installation ourselves. It was light enough that we had no problems lifting it into place. We need to add some tile to the wall, but the hood looks beautiful and operates perfectly. I love the big filters that can easily be removed and washed in the dishwasher.

3 years later
After 3 years of use it’s time to review these rangehoods, They look good but major engineering trash, these hoods come with something that looks like a filter but they simply are not filters, I use the large one for a small home coffee roasting station in my kitchen so it was kept clean at all times however this week when I try to roast I noticed that it was not sucking the smoke, at first I thought the smoke was more than it can take but I was wrong, the fan blades are totally blocked to the point where it could not move any air at all, to make worst there’s no way to remove the fan drum and clean it since it’s bolted to the main housing. Remember #1 No real filter to clean and prevent the fan from clogging up. #2 There’s no way to clean the fan, now the question is why is this even on market? For its looks? Amazon should not be allowing this trash on its platform till who ever engineered such a trash will come up with some solutions to the above major issues.

Looks nice and works well.
We installed this range hood vent in a rental property kitchen. It has a nice fan and the lights are very good. It looks easy to clean. It was delivered on time and in good condition.

Quieter than I thought
Looks good, quieter than I thought it would be (even on the highest setting) and pushes a lot of air. Love having washable baffles, though they are a little less sturdy than I thought they would be. (Only other baffles I've used were in a commercial kitchen, and those were super thick and heavy duty,- not really a fair comparison). Back is slightly taller than the front, so it angles down towards the back. I was hoping it would be this way, though I never actually saw it listed in the dimensions explicitly. The controls are the weakness for me - can't change it from military time, and the display is a bit excessively bright. The touch interface is a bit overly complex as well. Just want it to be simpler - it's aesthetically pleasing, but the version of this with the mechanical buttons is probably more user friendly. When I think about it, I probably don't need another clock in the kitchen. Overall fairly happy. Rated ease of install high, though my install wasn't. (not the range's fault). Comes with flexible piping, screws etc. Would recommend using actual piping if possible. Overall happy, much quieter than my old fan which didn't suck much air at all. No weird noises other than air moving!
