but like the other guy who left a review says
Works, but like the other guy who left a review says, it does not plug in as it is shown in the picture. Fiddle with it a bit and find the proper way the ribbon is supposed to plug in, it will twist at least once. At first I thought I got a defective unit when it wouldn't work, but coming here and looking at the comments had me try it again and voila

Works great for extending an LCD
Needed to extend a 40-pin FPC cable for an LCD. Worked great. No noise either.

Exactly as pictured, cannot test as I should have ordered a 50 pin extension for my project.
Exactly as pictured, unfortunately I meant to order a 50 pin extension and have no use for this extension and cannot test it.

Works well - Pictures show incorrect installation
So I got this to work with a couple gotchas. I didn't understand how these types of FPC cables connect and since there are no directions and directions on the web seem kind of hard to find too I was flying a bit blind as I have no experience with these things. These appear to be a sort of tiny hing that opens up and then closes down to press the cable into the contacts. I couldn't get this to work at first because I kept following the pictures for orientation since neither the LCD, the boards or the cables seem to have any pin 1 indicators. Ultimately, I inferred based on how it fit that the pictures for the product and on the adafruit website are wrong. The side of the cable with printed text had to face down instead of up like in the pictures here because the open ended contacts are on that side and will not work facing the other way since that side is closed. Then I just kept in mind how the driver board and LCD FPC cable connected without this adapter and made sure everything was straight through. After that it worked fine but it would be nice if this gave some directions for novices.
