I bought the 6 bike rack and ended up installing the 2 sections with a gap between as it suited the shed setup. Very easy to install - 4 screws for each rack if installing onto wood. I didn't have the structural timbers spaced right (as it's a rubbish old shed) but no problem as you can easily get fix a horizontal plank of wood to ensure you can fix the screws wherever you want. Can mount bikes either way up. For some long wheel base bikes leave a tad over 190cm clearance from floor. Dead simple and solid - made the shed much tidier and now kids can get bikes out and back in without my help shuffling things around. Highly recommended!

I had the words 'simple' and 'sturdy' in mind when I decided to review this, and it turns out that those are the first two rating questions. This is well made, has clear installation instructions and fixings for different wall construction, and holds the bikes securely - a good buy and represents excellent value for money. It gets the three bikes up off the floor and frees up access to cupboards that they were obscuring, but don't underestimate that, self-evidently, they will stick out from the wall that they are hanging on by about 1 metre, and they are spaced out by the bike rack, so, for us, they probably occupy more volume than when they were interleaved down on the floor - but it's in a much more convenient place for us, so works well.

The bike rack itself is excellent. Well designed, well made and I have no concerns about using it to hold all my best bikes. I would highly recommend the rack... BUT... The instructions are crap - no one proof read them before printing. It tells you to mount the rack and then put the hooks on. You can't, the wall bolts stop you from doing this. I think someone else posted this too. Put the hooks on first, then mount. As for mounting, IGNORE THE TEMPLATE. I never normally use templates and use the actual thing i'm hanging to align the holes. For some reason (perhaps because I was following the instructions for once), I used the template, and that was 5mm out from the holes in the rack. Of course, I only found this out AFTER I had drilled the holes :-( Luckily I was able to manipulate the rack into the right position, but it could have been a MAJOR pain in the ass. Through the instructions and template away, use your common sense and you'll have a great bike rack. Great rack, let down by non proof read instructions and non checked template.

I don’t think you can get 6 bikes on the rack, but it easily fits 5 and you can use the extra hook to hang your helmets. Capable of holding up a wide range of bikes, I’ve got it holding my carbon road bike, steel frame mountain bike, a steel frame city bike, an aluminium frame mountain bike and a steel frame folding bike. I mounted it onto a piece of pine timber as the mounting holes on the rack won’t line up with standard spacing for UK plasterboard. Easy to fit using the timber screws provided with an impact driver. You can have it up in 5 minutes. An expensive rack but I like the quality of the Probike Tools equipment, and the rubber coated hooks don’t damage the wheels. Once assembled it’s incredibly sturdy, so I’d say it’s worth the investment.

I bought this to hang three bike out of the way in my shed. Fixing a horizontal bar was going to be easier that three individual hooks. The materials are solid and not flimsy in any sense, and installation is reasonably easy (though you will need a bit of DIY skill). It looses a point on "ease of install" because my shed had non standard baton widths so I had to drill non standard holes in the metal bar (regular metal bit worked fine) (the expectations are explained clearly in the product description). I wonder if it would compromise the structural integrity for the makers to pre-drill some extra precautionary holes.

I have mixed thoughts about this product. Installation was relatively straightforward and 5 months down the line the rack is still hanging from the wall, along with the bikes. I'm using it for 5 bikes and when they are all in place, it looks like a neat arrangement. The main drawback with the rack is that it's easy to access the outer 2 bikes but not the inner 3 or 4. Because all the hooks are the same length (and not adjustable) all the handlebars and saddles clash, which means getting at inner bikes is hard work and at times very frustrating. Had the hooks been varying lengths this could have been avoided. I tried contacting the self-labelled 'very interested to hear about your thoughts' help line and have had no response to two separate contacts.

Pretty simple to instal with masonry bolts provided. Useful template for drilling and only 2 holes to drill. Did it by myself and it was fine, although a second pair of hands would have been useful. Appears very robust. Have 3 bikes on the one rack and space for the other. Comes as two units so don’t have to be connected. Very pleased with it as it has tidied the garage nicely.

Loving the new Pro Bike Tool rack: beautifully made and very simple to fix to wall. I've screwed mine to a wooden plank beside my bike sheds for daytime storage. The kit comes with all fixings needed and very clear instructions. A follow up email from Pro Bike Tool included a very clear "How To" video with further info: well done for the great customer service again Pro Bike Tool. When I've built my bigger bike shed / man cave / pain cave I'll be buying a couple more to store my entire bike collection neatly and in some style !

I am impressed by the quality of this product. It feels high-end. It comes with excellent hardware - heavy duty wood screws and what appears to be a good concrete mounting solution (although I have wood/drywall so I didn't use the concrete bolts). I really appreciate the set screws that keep the hooks in place, and the plastic end caps & hook covers are a great final touch that gives it a kind of professional look. The owner's manual warned to mount it higher than 180 cm... I had hoped to put it lower so that my kids could get their bikes on and off, but ... follow the manual. It really didn't work for adult bikes to be hung lower than that - they have to be hung off the ground in order for gravity/rotation to hold them in place. So put it 180cm or higher! If I had more bikes I would buy this again.

This is the best thing we did for our garage and am so bummed we didn't purchase this bike rack sooner! Our bikes were taking over one complete side of the garage. They were always in the way and often fell over when we tried getting to things behind them. We finally decided to organize our garage this weekend and purchased this bike rack. It looks great and very sturdy. I was nervous about hanging 3 solid bikes....let alone my prize tri bike! My son and I installed it and was able to attach it to studs on the wall. Although our paper directions were missing from the box or maybe we tossed it by accident, we easily popped up the instructions on their website. Garage looks great and we can now park both cars in. Also, the bikes look great nicely hung. Great product, thank you!
