Item was as described, and performed as desired. I used it as a flange spreader along with some shims i provided to take up the space between the stroke of this jack and the span between the flanges. Made short, struggle-free work of a valve change-out that could have otherwise been a nightmare.

It's a solid hydraulic pump and cylinder. I had trouble with lifting due to pulling air into the pump; tjatbwas begore I opened it... It's important to know that there is no dip tube. So, if you have a choice, tilt the controls end down! For all the folks wondering how to get it -open-, unscrew the yellow barrel from the controls end. It's O-ring sealed. I kind of like the strainer, but it will barely work down to half way full! The suction port really should have been drilled MUCH closer to the bottom edge. No leaks so far! I modified mine with a dip tube while I had it open.

It didn't move a concrete slab around 1.5 ton. Just nice and works for indoor moving.
