Not 40mm
This is not a 40mm stir bar and is closer to 70mm if anything. If you are looking for a stir bar that is 40mm for the stir part this isn’t it.

Works well, blades open and close freely
As described, it's a nice stirring rod. The blades open smoothly, and the durable PTFE coating makes it very chemical resistant and easy to clean. I think it's a PTFE coated stainless steel rod, with PTFE blades, but I'm not certain, and the listing doesn't say (at least not at the time of this review). Works well.
