can this knife be used or will i end up breaking it?

My husband owns the knife and he said No the knife will not break it is very durable and the blade is thick

I haven't tried cutting down a tree with it, as I believe this would damage the knife. It is a REAL survival knife but it is also a collectors' item for RAMBO movie fans. Thus I have not tried to hit a tree with it and probably wouldn't recommend trying to do so with this item. You can get a much cheaper survival knife($25-$45) that you can try that with. There is a tool for every job, and cutting down trees is better suited for an ax.
