The quality and taste of this tea is excellent. Most green teas which are sold under the brand names of large companies (L, T, etc.) are teas which are grown in China (PRC). If you do a little research you will see that there are quite a few environmental problems affecting Chinese teas which are grown for export: most notably, pollution and contaminated soil. Chinese tea farms have been found growing in highly polluted urban areas and in soil which cover landfills. By comparison, Japanese tea exports is a highly regulated industry. Japanese farms are restricted to certain agricultural sectors, much like the U.S. system of zoning laws. If you are going to buy a green tea, buy a product grown in Japan or any country other than China. The corporate heads in the fast growing Chinese economy have little interest in quality control and the PRC does not enforce regulations which inhibit sales. In the race to the top, the end use consumer is NOT a concern. This is not a political statement. Such quality control problems are common in many Chinese exports (Lumbar Liquidators' toxic wood finishes, lead paint on Mattel Toys, etc.....it is a long list). Do yourself a favor, do the research if you are thinking about purchasing a green tea, or any tea for that matter, which is grown in China. But be assured that Kirkland tea is the best in terms of taste and quality.

A few months ago my husband and I went to a Greek restaurant. Long story short the waiter asked me do you want Persian tea or Moroccan tea? And I said I would like to try your Persian tea. So the waiter comes out with this fancy stainless steel looking teapot I open it up and inside had a lot of mint floating inside with obviously tea. I was drinking it just myself my husband didn’t want any. I absolutely loved it but wow this is so exotic and wonderful I had to find out what tea it was. So I asked the waiter can I see the teabag that goes in here so I can buy it for the future because I absolutely love it! The waiter goes oh it’s just from Persia it’s mix with mint with a hint of honey.I said to myself OK can I still see the bag of tea so I can see if I can purchase it?… He whispers in my ear it’s really not from Persia.!!! It’s just green tea with honey and fresh Mint and we tell people that it’s from Persia. Again long story short come to find out… It’s not green tea it’s Matcha! In this particular brand… So what you basically do is grab a handful of fresh mint crush it down a little like you do as a bartender, pour hot water in the pot a hint of honey and the tea bags. It is so-ooooo good! Do you have to have fresh mint lots of it, with the honey and this tea and it is ABSOLUTELY my FAVORITE TEA now!

So these on line and they are exactly the same as the ones I purchase at COSTCO with having to go the store. As I already had some I purchased at COSTCO, it has saved me from making extra effort to travel and go the COSTCO when I run out. Now I don't need to wait to purchase when I'm out and is the same as the COSTCO store ones. Love this product and the amount of the tea bags. It is fresh and the flavor is good for green tea. Since I won't be going to COSTCO for awhile, I am looking to purchase another box since my supply is now almost empty.

Bueno lo disfrute

Got a box of the original from my daughter who bought it in Japan. Searched and found it a couple of places and decided to give it a try here. This seller shipped quickly and it came in the original sealed box which expires this October. Had my first cup this morning and the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because I'm not sure it's as strong as the original. My first batch from Japan was a much darker green, this one is less green even after seeping after 5 minutes. Still has great flavor so I'm pretty happy. Have another in the fridge and it's also not as green, but will drink this batch but may find a can of Matcha to add to this for more Matcha flavor.

I LOVE this tea. It has caffeine, so I only have a cup or two in the morning. I love the texture of the tea bags. I love the flavor. I highly recommend this tea!!

This tea tops the list for taste and smoothness. We take it on vacation with us because there is no replacement for the taste. Gives you a boost in the morning that wakes you up and gets you going. We both love it.

Tastes great, has a nice green color.
