Used these after the hard freeze that took place in February in Texas and the rest of the South...they were used to isolate flow in copper piping, so I could repair the lines and reroute some lines...the ONLY thing these tools are missing, is the ABILITY to be Bend or flex through a curved section of pipe, like a 45 or a 90...they are restricted to mostly straight runs...would be great if they could improve their design, which would make the tools even more valuable!!

Even after shutting off the water at the meter, water kept dripping out of the line for hours. This slow drip would have made it impossible to achieve a good sweat (solder) joint. After inserting the Jet Swet tool into the pipe and tightening it per the instructions, the dripping water stopped completely and a successful joint was achieved. I am a very happy and satisfied customer!

This looked like a promising tool however I found it was too long for the space allowed. So it did not work for me.

I don't do a lot of plumbing and when I do I am mostly old school copper. I do run pex B from time to time, but don't do enough plumbing to invest in pro press or an expander. However, I do mainly remodeling and consistently run into copper all the time. Being able to un-sweat a fitting is great when there is no option to just cut off that section of pipe or to prevent from further undesired demolition. Being able to sweat on a ball valve in the basement of a three story home without having water intrusion is hassle free.

FYI: If you are doing a vertical pipe when it gets time to remove the Sweat Jet an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure tie a string around the threads tight just incase when you loosen it and accidently straighten the cranking end it could fall into the pipe the string is a safety line to cover any stupid moves you do by accident and inexperience, only tie the line after soldering is done and not extremely hot.
