I had ordered a different brand that was supposedly high quality and made in Germany but it didn't fit in my projector port correctly. Apparently, I wasn't the only person with this problem with this cable. Well, this cable from BlueRigger it a perfect fit and it stays put in my projector and Onkyo receiver, providing crystal clear perfect audio of all types (pure stereo, Dolby, etc). I am so glad that I chose this cable, it is 100% trouble free, good quality, and has great performance.

This cable is very supple and can be bent in a sharp angle. The part of the connector that slides into the socket fits the socket very closely so that the connection has no wiggle to it. The same part is soft enough so that the engagement click doesn't require too much force to plug and unplug. The molded parts are very attractive and hold the cable for a securely in place. I have purchased several of these cables and they have all worked perfectly.

Needed to get the optical audio out from the wall mounted tv down to the A/V reciever for the surround. The 15ft cable worked just right to drop down and out the wall via the brush plates. Cable was flexible enough, yet durable. No need to spend more on the expensive brands. There are several other lengths offered by BlueRigger. Would definitely purchased again, which I already have.

The sound bar I bought had “cables included”, which means the company threw in the cheapest ones they had lying around. The main reason I bought this cable though, was because of the length. The one shipped with the sound bar was too short for my application. I honestly didn’t expect much as sometimes a cable is just a cable. Well, in comparison to the stock one I received, this cable is much better. The shielding on the freebie was brittle and thin. The shielding in the BlueRigger was of a much better material and the cable was at least 3x thicker. It promises to shield from RFI and based on how thick it is, I’m sure it has improved RFI over the stock one. I hadn’t done extensive testing, but I do remember a little RFI garbage that hasn’t been present with this cable. The cable plugs on the BlueRigger are also superior to the stock ones. When plugging in the cheap ones, there wasn’t the snug, secure fit I get with these. I’m sure there may be far superior optical cables than these on the market, but for the money they do a great job and I haven’t had any issues. And just an FYI, don’t get suckered into the “gold connectors” that some optical cables offer. For wired audio cables, connectors can (and do) make a huge difference, and gold connectors are sold at a premium. That’s because the audio signal actually passes through the connector. In the case of optical cables, the material of the connector doesn’t make a difference. In fact, would you rather have a metal connector with sharp edges sliding into the optical port of your $2k tv, or plastic on plastic? Hope this review helps.
