Diptyque Figuier Candle, 1 Count

The candle arrived in perfect condition despite being packaged so poorly (just thrown inside a box, nothing to protect it from moving around). Baies is my favorite and I wanted to try something new. It smells so nice. Get it and hope it arrives to you in one piece.

I am so disappointed in these candles and wonder if the company is cutting corners/sacrificing quality? I was gifted a Diptyque candle years ago, and it was by far the best smelling candle I’ve ever had. As they are quite pricey, I never bought one until recently when I bought several for myself and family members for Christmas. There is no way these candles are worth their price. Full disclosure: I’ve only smelled figuier, vanilla, bais, and feu de bois, but the scent is so light on each of these, they would have to be in a bathroom or very small room to even be detected. My fig candle is back currently burning 4 feet away from me and, although it’s been burning for two hours, I can’t even smell it.

This candle was worth every penny! The smell is strong but not artificial. You feel like your smelling a real fig tree. The fig smell is very different but so so so nice.

Smell is very nice, Not too happy with the wick it definitely did not last the whole life of the wax. Also the smell doesn't cover a wide area. You have to be at least 1ft near the candle to be able to enjoy smell. If they were to fix this these issues I would definitely buy it again. But for now its definitely not worth the price the seller is asking for.

Originally, I received this expensive candle as a gift. I loved it so much, I kept the jar long after the wax melted away, knowing I'd order one for myself. Not only did I order one for myself, I gifted 3 more for my 3 daughters. They love the scent as well.

I purchased this candle several years ago and the fragrance was wonderful and worth the price. That is not the case now. It smells like a soy base and is definitely not worth 60 now. No way!

I'm very surprised to find the average rating so low. So surprised that I decided to write this review - not that Diptyque needs the endorsement. They are popular for reasons. This candle is pure luxury. There's a depth and elegance to this particular scent -- nothing astringent, nothing reminiscent of harsh artificial chemicals.

Not very impressed with this candle, especially considering how expensive it is. The scent is fine, but nothing I'd spend over $60 ever again. I purchased this as a gift for my boyfriend who has a sort of obsession with good quality candles. Yankee may be the cliche candle out there, but I have yet to find a candle company that produces a product with the same scent profile strength and longevity. The novelty of these candles being from Paris is no doubt at least half of the appeal, but for something that burns away so quickly with not more than a whisper of a scent to hold onto, it is a far cry from the "je ne sais quoi" people claim these candles to be.
