Black Diamond harnesses let me kneel or sit while working, give me traction to reduce muscle fatigue, and take the weight off my back as well. If I’m working with multiple people on the roof at the same time, I do an overhand knot on the rope and clip into that instead of using a sliding clip. Sometimes for a quick transition I’ll just weave it through the rope through the carabiner for a movable slider. Out of all my carabiners (I have probably ten hooked to my harness at all times) the black diamond ones are my absolute favorites. They’re low-dexterity friendly (think winter gloves and one handed maneuvers) and well designed all around.
