Not much more to say if you have to measure some long distances, this item is worth every penny, it rolls out and rolls up flawlessly every time, as long as you are paying attention to what you are doing and don't twist in while holding it. Very solid construction, the tape itself is thick but still pliable, and the rolling/unrolling motion is smooth

For basic homeowner use, this is great! I don't know how well it wears since i make straight shot runs with it and wind it right back up cleanly. very well made. feels sturdy and definitely functional. the clip allows it to be dug into the ground or be hooked on a nail or stake. it has no gears assist to wind it up, but i've had it out to the full 200ft multiple times and i can wind it up just as fast or faster than i can walk back to the starting point. the handle also folds back over to lock the carriage from unwinding when not in use. it's very comfortable to manipulate with the design and large handles. my only grip is that there's the metal doo-hicky on the end of the tape line doesn't have a place to tuck into or anything when it's wound up. it just hangs down a couple of inches. But that would not have stopped me from buying it by any means. I would recommend to any homeowner.

I had not any occasions to use meters living in the U.S. until I started throwing knives. I joined a few groups, mostly in Asia and Europe and they all use metric. When you have any competition its all measured or setup in meters. I needed a good durable and basically dampness proof measuring tape that would go out at least 12 meters. This one goes out 30 and also measures inches/feet on the opposite side, the best of both worlds. One side colored green, is marked in meters and the other side of the tape is white for inches/feet. It has a metal catch on the end to grasps at a starting point and also comes with a plastic stake to drive in the ground to hook to. Of course it has a hand crank to retrieve the tape after measuring. It's a very nice piece of equipment and should last.

Indispensable for our rural projects. From placement of a water cistern to laying out an orchard, this measuring reel stands up to rain, mud, tall grass, and even my dog running at it like a finish line. It cleans up quickly (most of the time its me wiping off a mud chunk), winds smoothly, and the included stake keeps the line steady for one-person use. Thoughtful design makes it a tool I actually look forward to using. Definitely recommend.

Good product

Easy to use long tape. Winds back easily and simply. Basic but perfectly adequate. We do only use a few times a year, I cannot say how robust it would be for daily use, but for price its probably worth buying and replacing when needed.

This seems a solid, well-made product. The little stake they gives you allows you to measure a large site on your own. Easy to use.
