Forever Black Bumper & Trim Dye Kit (2 PACK)

I've used this for more than a decade. You must condition your trim with the included conditioner, ensure the trim dries completely, and then apply two coats. I use a Dobie sponge to scrub my trim and let it dry, and sometimes I do this the day before I apply the dye. I then work in sections applying the dye; do let the dye dry completely before applying a second coat. If you pay attention to what you're doing, you will avoid having any streak marks, but the second coat usually prevents that. I use painter's tape and small brushes in addition to the applicator. This is an all-day job for me every several years but so worth it. Wear old clothes and shoes in case you get any of this on you, but I've rarely gotten much on me since it adheres very well to the trim. And their Forever Black Tire Gel works wonders too.

We had an old 2003 Honda element that we were going to sell. It has a lot of vinyl sides and bumpers and looked pretty sad. We use this product – it was incredibly easy to use - and the car looks almost new. Lot of the other products fade away or look streaked and gray, not this one. It goes on black and stays black…. But not a black that is too contrasting.. I guess what I’m trying to say is it looks like new.

Amazing stuff. Did that just a few days ago and it looks like the bumpers are new. There is enough material in the bottle for more than one car. I did 2 layers on my Jeep Wrangler: bumpers, door handles, side panels and atill have about 1/3 of a bottle left.

Was looking for a something to detail my sons Jeep and came across this stuff. Put on 1 application and so far looks great. That was in May. Hasn’t needed a touch up yet. Bought a Jeep fir myself and got round two. Looks great after 1 application.

The fenders & bumpers on my Jeep were a light grey, now, they are black and I only gave it 1 coat. It could use a second coat though. I do recommend some prep work with painter's tape as it is not easy to get it off the paint and it gets everywhere. Over all, i LOVE this product!

Purchase this after trying other products to darken jet ski trim I was selling. Prepped per instructions. It did make the trim very dark again, but the applicator left lines as if applied with stiff bristled brush. I applied several coats hoping they would fill in with no luck. Though it was for sure dark again, the final product appeared poor. After multiple products and lots of money wasted I ended up just purchasing new trim which I should have done in the first place. I read that for this product to function properly the trim must be rough and not smooth. I thought the trim was abrasive enough, but perhaps I was wrong. May have been poor judgement on my part. May just not work well. Dang sure didn't work like the advertised videos. I've given up trying to restore any black trim with any product.

Love this product, brings back the black trim on our Honda and Volvos - lasts a long time. Their tire gel is wonderful, too. Neither greasy nor does is wash off.

Work as promise..the key is to use the cleaner Or the product will not work...will buy again

I have never written a review before, that is how impressed I am with this product. Used it on a black rub rail on a 35 year old boat, rail now looks new. This product is not really a cleaner , it is a dye that brings back the original look. I have not found a better product anywhere.

Used two coats on plastic trim that was almost white and it’s black again. It has no lustre but overall it works well and has lasted multiple months of Canadian weather with no sign of fading
