This is the BEST patio furniture cover that I have found! It is made of sturdy canvas as described, not some thin flimsy plastic disguised as "canvas-like" by other brands. I have one that has lasted me for over 3 years and is still going strong (under a covered patio in mild weather year round). It fits my 2-seater perfectly with plenty of room, protects from dirt and is waterproof. I tried ordering other brands and they were all just thin plastic described as canvas. So back to the "Basics"! The coupon price also made it easier to compare the quality and value of the different brands. I appreciate Amazon Basics for accurately describing their product and following through. I ordered another one. Highly recommend for quality, long- lasting endurance, and price value. Really great quality and keeps our outdoor furniture in good condition. Is exactly as described in terms of size, color, and thickness. Also seems to be water resistant with light rain and it stays in place well during storms.

I tried some of the more expensive brands, and they all seem to fall apart after a year or two one way or another, so I decided to try the cheaper amazon one instead. I’m glad I did. This one lasted 2 years, which is about average for all brands I’ve tried, but at a cheaper price. The amazon one eventually split in the middle of the fabric, and this happened along one of edge/corners of our lounge, so I do think it would have lasted even longer if I had taken the advice in another review to “pad” the corners. Some other brands have really poor stitching or trim that disintegrates quickly in sun/UV, which would be harder to prolong. This fabric also eventually starts to disintegrate, just like all of them, but at a similar pace to others. I have tried “thicker/heavier” fabrics, and I don’t think they last longer. All you need is one hole and then it starts to rip easy, and a heavier fabric might even put more stress on the pressure points. I also like the khaki color, as all of these covers seem to fade toward this color anyway. In sum, just consider these disposable, get the cheapest one that fits, get a couple years out of it, and then get something new. I will be purchasing this again.

For a good year, the patio covers did a fantastic job protecting my furniture from sun, storms, winds, rain, and snow (I live in the Midwest where we have all four seasons). By the end of the first year, I noticed tiny tears appearing around the parts where it meets the "sharp" edge of my patio furniture -- please see the photos to see what I mean by "sharp" edge of my patio furniture, especially on the arm rests. I don't blame the product at all - it was my fault for not preventing that in the first place. So, I replaced the patio covers with new second sets -- this time, I cut/bungee-corded pool noodle sections on the edge of my patio arm rests ONLY when I put on the patio covers. This way, the fabric of the patio covers will last a lot longer. I am sharing this in the hopes it helps someone else who may run into the same issue. So, folks... take a look at your own patio furniture and check that there aren't sharp edges that will compromise the integrity of the patio covers. I am truly happy with these patio covers and am fairly optimistic my second set will last a lot longer!

I've bought these covers now twice. They last about 3 or 4 years and then you need to get them again. That's fine since they take a beating with the sun, rain, snow, etc. They protect my patio chairs from all the elements and, yes, they are waterproof. I don't use the straps but they look like they would work if I needed to use them. Other than functionality, the covers look good so no complaints from me.

These are amazing!!! We bought these and two of the loveseat covers to protect our new patio set from rain and sun. We’ve had a very hot summer with a few torrential down pours. PROS: The covers have not faded at all and our furniture is always dry. The water beads on top of the covers and runs off easily. They fit our furniture well. CONS: The clips that go around the legs are a little awkward to clip and unclip, as they are on the inside of the legs. This, however, could just be because our furniture has wide legs. The drawstrings don’t work well, as they are on only one side, so it feels as though the string is going to break when you are pulling them to tighten (would have been better to have one on each side). We will try using them again when we store the furtniture for winter.
