Earthy, Soft/Gritty/Slate Like Will melt in mouth has an crunchy chew and soft, one of my go to and favorites . Has its pros and cons you May get an order where all are hard and you may get an order where all are soft worth taking an Shot at. If you considering go for it .

Best slates ever
I've ordered these bars at least ten times and theyre worth it every time. They taste delicious and come pretty fast.

Not the best....
This was my first time purchasing slate blocks. I wish I would have gotten white or red slate blocks.... the Indian slate blocks don’t taste very good. They are very crunchy, however.

Taste was alright but it’s to hard to bite into, also very gritty not smooth like clay or soft like chalk, almost like a sandy consistency after being thoroughly chewed kind of disappointing
