The unit is well made and works but feels cheap compared to other units in metal enclosures (but also twice the price). It comes with a USB cable but not the adapter so it's inconvenient if you don't have a spare one laying around. This is just an adapter to convert RCA video connectors to an HDMI connector. It does not increase resolution or image quality. There is no difference between the 720p and 1080p settings because the quality is the same as the composite video. It's not true HD. So, if your TV has a composite input you might as well use that because the quality is exactly the same. If you don't, then this just allows you to use and available HDMI port on the TV. Their product description erroneously says "Making video come alive, delivering the sharpest, most realistic HD visuals available." , which is not true.
