Tremendousfor an inexpensive time piece.
Tremendous value! Quality is very good for such an inexpensive watch. Seems like the durability is going to be quite nice. It does have some lume on the hands, but not all of the indices. The lume is adequate and I’m happy with the lume. The real weak point of this watch is the LED backlight. The LED black light is very minimal. It does not light up the LED display at all. It barely works for the analog hands. The Watch, how ever is very comfortable on the wrist, I forgot I had it on when I went to bed and when I Woke up in the morning I was surprised to see it on my wrist! This would make a great gift or a stocking stuffer. I splashed my watch while I was washing my hands and the water resistance seems to be adequate. I highly recommend this Watch for the value. I love the world time function. It’s a little bit difficult to synchronize the analog hands with the digital time. I was eventually able to do it, but it takes a while. Overall, I would definitely purchase this watch again.

simple rugged watch
I have worn Timex watches exclusively for the last 20 years. I like the simplicity and durability of them, however, the elastic metal band on my last one failed where it attaches to the watch case in such a way that it had two pointy metal peaks that made it unwearable. I was going to simply replace the band, but it was cheaper to buy a new watch. I looked for something equivalent to what I had but styles have changed and I couldn't find something appealing that matched my pricepoint. Until I found this Casio watch. I debated over the newer plastic-silicone bands, but worried about durability. I am an electrician, and get into some rough environments at work, dirt, dust, construction debris and such. Getting sweaty and dirty wearing a watch can make them smell bad over time(like the stretchy metal band on my old Timex). This Casio has a nice metal band, it seems very durable as well as being easy to close and comfortable to wear. The face and body of the watch is low profile enough to not get in the way at work or wearing work gloves. It is attractive enough to wear as an everyday watch too. The reviews I read prior to purchase were pretty much accurate, the manual is a bit daunting, but it is in several languages so it only requires reading part of it. I had a bit of a challenge getting it set, but eventually I got it right. The light feature flat out is not as good as the Indiglo feature of the Timex watches, but I don't rely on that as much as I thought I would. The glow in the dark feature this watch has is also rather weak, it does work, but has no duration. The telememo feature it has is something I didn't realize it has, but I can't see how it will benefit me. I simply needed a watch that is accurate, easy to read, easy to wear, comfortable, and durable. This watch checks those boxes for me. Overall, this is a budget friendly watch that is well made and easy to wear. For me, the style and durability made it the right choice.

Decent Budget ANALOG quartz watch with a digital complication
I purchased this with disappointing intimal emotions. Ugg this is not a very good digital watch.... Well NO it's actually a decent small analog watch that has a digital window slip that's visible 70% or so of the time (The watch hands obscure the window cut out from 4-8). First complication I ran into, the analog function is set manually via advancing the hands independently of the digital clock settings by the buttons. With a ten year battery life & year programing out to 2099 that leaves changes for daylight savings & time zones something I will likely refresh myself with you tube vid "how to's" a couple times a year. As its a budget model there is no analog second hand further reducing its "at a glance" functionality. Overall, the digital window can be utilized for the day/date/second readout as well as a timer & stopwatch (and a secret power of up to thirty phone # length with alpha ID). The ugly aspect of these features however is the analog hands obscure these in actual use every hour as the minute hand sweeps through and more so with the hour hand in the 4-8 range. I can see only one occasion where the Analog - Digital time display could be of common daily use. If you had a local time and say a office time in different time zones. Otherwise the readout is more a novelty on a budget analog watch than a useful feature. Looking back on the review it would seem I do not like this clock, truth is yes in the low end series I would suggest the features of the digital display watches are better doing digital things. I do like the brown colour and size of this piece however. While it wears as a flyweight I will say the strap is another victim of cost, they attempted to upscale the appearance and its more of a costume jewelry effect. Functional but will wear rapidly so long before the brilliant 10 year battery life a fresh strap will be needed. Sorry not Sorry for the under $30 I lashed out for this, my own fault not what I deem deficiencies of the watch. Still a Casio fan, this model simply isn't as good as others they produce for the features I desire.

Great watch, great price
I've long been a fan of casio watches - they're the prefect mix of affordability, quality and durability. I bought this watch to replace my prior casio which after about 7 years had a scratched up crystal and two of the buttons were becoming too difficult to push (one of which was the light). This watch was very easy to program, and had all the features I wanted. The digital numbers are easy to read, multiple alarms, world times for different cities are a nice feature (we have friends in Europe, and it's always nice to know the time over there prior to calling). As other reviewers have noted, you cannot see the digital output when you use the light in the dark...you can see the digital numbers on my timex explorer, but you still can't do anything with the digital programming while you're holding down the light button on the timex...so I really don't see this as a problem with the casio. All I ever want to do at night it simply check the time, and the light allows you to read the hands perfectly. One note on the "notes/memo" function on this watch...I think it's a vestige from the days before cell phones and PDAs. I can't imagine taking the time to program in someone's phone number or a note about something...much easier to do that on my Blackberry. Still, it's there if anyone wants to use it. As I mentioned earlier in this review, I have a timex expedition which is a digital/analog watch that I never use. If you're curious why I don't use it, it's because the thing is heavy and the ticking sound is too loud and keeps me from wearing the watch at night. I actually use the watch alarm as my daily alarm - it's loud enough to wake me up while not disturbing my wife. However, with the timex, neither of us can get to sleep with that loud, annoying, ticking sound. The casio is silent, and it's light - almost like not wearing a watch at all. Both of these are huge pluses in my opinion. Finally, I think this is a nice looking watch. Not gaudy - one I can wear to work or as a casual watch.

Small, Light, Efficient.
I bought this watch about 4 weeks ago, right when my college semester started. Even with my droid phone, I needed something with the date and time clearly displayed, for situations that may call for a paper to be dated and printed at 1:55 for a 2:00 class. I seem to find myself in this situation often to be honest. So sue me. But this watch does its job exactly as described, and has a lot of other simple yet effective features as well. It has a snooze alarm built-in that I've recently started using as my main alarm in the morning. Some part of my unconscious brain has trouble figuring out that the alarm is on my wrist, so it's harder to hit snooze before I fully wake up, which is nice. Also, the stopwatch/timer and world clock features are both easily found, set, and used. I have a friend on a hunting trip in Idaho, and I can quickly reference the time out there on the digital display. I haven't found a good use for the memopad yet, but I've managed to find a place in my life for each other feature this watch offers, and it hasn't failed me yet. I've seen a few reviewer's complaints about the instructions, and that the watch itself isn't easy to set. I guess their old watches set themselves or something. I had more trouble logging in to write this review. Really. As far as the design goes, I'm still as impressed with it as when I first saw the picture here on Amazon. It's small as far as watches go, but everything is displayed nice and clearly. The design is eye-catching and original with the digital display on the bottom and a cluttered but efficient-looking analog display. The face is slightly convex (you can't tell from the Amazon picture), but it matches the design well. For some reason, there is no backlight. What there is is actually just a hidden LED light that shines over the face of the watch. It's a pretty cool looking effect, but definitely not as strong as a real backlight and won't work well for people with poor eyesight. Also, the casing for the watch isn't as metallic as it looks; it's more like a sturdy plastic. Because of this, the watch has very little weight to it. Some people may prefer the weight of metal casing, but at the price this watch was offered, I still feel like I'm getting more than what I paid for. 5/5

Great as watch, but NOT A TEN YEAR BATTERY
Basically I love this watch, as a watch. I don't use its other features. It's easy to read in daylight (white hands on black face), and once you figure it out, it's easy to set the time, both digital and even analog (though that does have a bit of a learning curve). HOWEVER, it has two main failures: 1) the 10 YEAR BATTERY LASTS ONLY ABOUT TWO YEARS. Since 2014, I have had to purchase seven of these watches, because they fail after one-to-three years (my most recent one failed in less than 15 months). The digital display goes blank, and the hands stop moving. From reading many of the reviews, I know that this is about the expected lifetime for the battery and that replacing the battery is not a reasonable option. My old roommate had an expression that applies in this case, "Fix by replacement." 2) Adjusting the size of the band to fit your wrist is so miserable that Casio doesn't even include instructions for doing this with the watch. Find a video on the Internet. Even that is tricky, because Casio has several different styles of watch bands, and you have to find one that shows you how to remove the pins that hold the links together. Further, you have to figure out what tools to use to accomplish this (a jeweler's screwdriver to start the process and a small bent needle nose plier to pull the pin out the rest of the way are what I use). But if these were deal breakers, why would I now be using my seventh one?

Analog and digital on same watch!
Having analog and digital on same watch is great! It’s easy to read both. I’m glad it has alarm and light. I like the shiny silver band.

Only lasted five months.
I bought this to replace a higher end Casio that broke. After finding out that all of the Casio watches in this style have plastic cases where the band attached I decided not to bother with the expensive one. This one does the basics it has multiple time zones, a light and date. To start off with my only complaints about this watch were that it is very difficult to remove links from the band, and that the light is not very bright. The light works ok in a dark room, but it is not as easy to read as the EL backlight on the other Casio I had. For the money it seemed like a good deal. I missed the more elegant style and fancy features of my old watch, but this one did the job well enough. But only for 5 months. The first sign of trouble I had was that the analog hands were not staying set. Then the next day I noticed a lot of condensation inside the case. Then it just quit. I thought it might have been the battery, even though the watch was only five months old and was supposed to have a 10 year battery. Replacing the battery was a pin in the rear because the instructions that came with the watch did not have any information about how to change the battery. Casio's web site was also no help in this regard. Finally I figured out that there is a catch on the metal band that holds the battery in, you have to use a very thin jeweler's screwdriver to gently pry it loose. Even being careful I managed to bend it a bit so it took a littel work to get it back into the correct shape after removing the old battery. There is a sticker on the inside that mentions you must connect the "AC" terminal to the "-" after installing the new battery, which I did with a small piece of copper wire. After putting a new battery in it worked for about 2 minutes, just long enough to set the time again, then it died. I thought the new battery might have just been a dud, so I put it on a battery tester, and it tested OK. Now getting suspicious, I put the old battery on the tester, and it tested OK too. SO I gave up, pitched the watch in the trash and put the batteries on the shelf. That's the last Casio I'll buy.

Great watch
This is a great watch - one of very few that has both digital and analog time - a bit tricky to change the time for daylight saving, but its a great watch.

Ciao
