Uncompensated Real Review
Buyers Beware !! 1. The stun function never worked. 2. Even if it did work the prongs are so far down below the edge that they may never touch the targets skin. 3. The ac plug adapter had rust all over the prongs. 4. The USB plug is barely staying together. 5. I had to wiggle the charging plug into the flashlight just to get it to charge. 6. The instructions tell you to not charge for more than 8 hours or you will void the warranty. 7. I emailed Safesure directly and received no response.

Fairly solid build, medicore stun power.
Battery: Recieved stun gun and used my own Nitecore charger for the 14500 battery. It was already about full charge on arrival. The 14500 battery this stun gun uses runs at 3.7v with 1200mAh. The battery output was 0.7 A when tested. I bought a 2 A 14500 battery to replace it. The original battery was fine but I wanted more pulses/arcs per second when tasing. Also, the battery goes positive side down. There was no label on mine. Light: Its bright enough to ruin an attacker's night vision in a dark parking lot. The 300 lumen claim seems accurate after comparing to a few other flashlights including my 1000lm cree xm L job. The light is decent and will get the job done. Materials/durability: It is almost all metal, with the only plastic part being the front black casing around where the led is. It would feel/look a whole lot more expensive if that were metal as well. The thing that bugs me the most is the rubber tail switch. The rubber switch opposite of the led is an extra saftey switch that keeps the taser from going off in your pocket. The rubber cap on the pen-style on/off switch comes off very easily and can be bad if you actually need to use it to defend yourself. I have been meaning to glue the rubber switch in permanently to keep this from happening any more. Despite this, the stun gun is somewhat durable and has some wieght to it. Stun gun effectiveness: My friend and I are both a little over 6' and under 130lbs. We only tested the stun feature a few times each; and only for a half second each time. I know you probably want to hear,"this will totally bring down any guy regardless of size!" Though we only tested it on our arms, it was not a horrifying experience like we thought it would be. It only constricted the muscles in the immediate area of contact with a little pain added to it. Furthermore, the pain would immediately stop as soon as we moved our arms away from the device. If I were a robber trying to steal your wallet/purse and I wanted it bad enough, the stun gun would probably only make me mad and get more adrenaline flowing, and I'm not even a big guy. Yes the arc/snapping noise is loud and scarry to some, but it hurts less than it sounds like it would. It could possibly make a criminal re-think weather the effort is worth it or not, but for added less-than-lethal knock-down power, I'd recommend a Taser or taser-like device. I plan on updating my review if we end up doing tests for longer stuns.

Stun devices are misunderstood by most people.
I bought 3 of the Safesure Elite Tactical Stun Flashlight with 50-Million-Volt Stun (Black) in April, 2016. So far, they are still working (as of December, 2017). I use the flashlight all the time. It is bright and the battery lasts a long time without charging it. I have not tried the stun on anyone as of yet (and glad I have not had to). Something to remember is that touch stun guns are not used for dropping your opponent to the ground. They are not designed for that purpose. They only cause pain to the area that is touched due to the close proximate of the prongs. They are not like stun guns which spread the darts over a wider area that cause the muscles in the body to lock and that causes the opponent to drop to the ground. Even after using a stun gun (which I have had to use during my law enforcement career), the opponent is usually back to normal after about a second or two and the fear of getting stunned again is what usually gets them to comply so they don't get a second dose. With contact stun devices like this one, you have to push the unit up against the body (the tighter in the body, the better and muscle group areas work well) and again, this usually only causes pain and will make the attacker back away or temporarily have them stop what they are doing. Usually, most normal people don't want a second dose. I have seen people stunned before with touch stun devices (not this unit) and have never seen anyone go to the ground incapacitated yet (not saying this can't happen, just have never seen it). Now, with this device to charge, the bottom button on the unit has to be turn on but the side switch can be turned off. Like others have said, this does make a startling noise and all stun devices should be tested now and then. I would not recommend you test it around anyone that is not expecting it as it usually makes them jump from the noise. A second or two blast is usually long enough to know it is working correctly. If you want to know more about stun guns or contact stun devices, ask any law enforcement officer you see carrying one. Chances are that officer has used it or has been around when one was used. Also, if like with my agency, the officer is trained with them and part of the training for a lot of them is the units being used on them (again they are different than these but in principle should work in about the same way). I hope this information was useful.

Don't waste your money
Very cheap piece of junk. First one delivered without a charging cord, and would not charge after getting the second one. Fell apart and switch was broken. Now they tell me it is too late to send it back for a refund. Don't waste your money.
