I was sick of having cheap hangers in my closet! I have a variety of colored plastic hangers which are nice but not classy looking and I have wire hangers that leave my shirts stiff and creased. I decided to try these wooden hangers and I was very pleased! -These hangers are perfect for any dress clothes and will not crease the shoulders -Very high quality (smooth and sturdy) -Beautifully made, they give my closet a classy look -Have a nice non slip grooved wooden rod if you are hanging slacks without them slipping off or leaving a crease -I have broke so many plastic/wire hangers and I cannot see any of these wooden hangers breaking **One thing that I would like to point out that I haven't seen in any of the review that I have read** I noticed a relatively strong smell when I opened up my package. The scent that I smelt was stained wood. If you have ever painted/stained wood you know that smell. It was not overbearing but I did notice it and decided to let them air outside for about 15 minutes and the scent went away. Some people may be quick to jump on that as a flaw with these hangers but I am very impressed. That means that they are extremely high quality if they were freshly stained and have a true wooden finish to them. I am very happy with these hangers and would not be surprised if they were handmade that is how nice the quality is. If you are in the market for hangers and are looking to upgrade from those cheap plastic/wire hangers these are the way to go! More and more often I’ve been sending my clothes out to be laundered or dry cleaned. I find my time spent not ironing is more valuable then the cost of sending clothes out. But I’ve noticed that I’ve developed quite a collection of flimsy wire hangers - not very attractive. I keep stuffing more clothes in my closets on the wire hangers from the cleaners and have begun to realize that not only is the look of my closet unappealing, but because I can put more “hang-up clothes” on the rod, the freshly pressed clothes are beginning to crease because they are pushed right up against each other. Frustrating!! I’ve decided to organize my closets and donate clothes I get little wear from…and purge my closets of the ridiculous, cheap wire hangers. Enter the J.S. solid wooden suit hangers. I started with the 20 hangers that came in a set and will continue to order more of these sexy hangers! I never thought I would describe a hanger as “sexy” but they really look good and my clothes have never looked better! These hangers are a light wood with a chrome finish hook. They are quite sturdy and keep clothes hanging naturally. They are thicker than standard plastic hangers and keep a nice space between my clothes. The J.S. suit hangers also contain a non-slip center rod to hang pants or folded sweaters without slippage. This is a fine quality wood hanger with permanently attached hook. I’m very pleased with this purchase and will be purchasing many more to replace the cheap wire and plastic ones that have invaded my home.

Overall, for the price, the hangers are beautiful. They change the look in my closet and are much sturdier than the plastic hangers. I made a total of 5 orders and so far I have only found around 15 hangers with flaws in them. The flaws range from the polish being rough or completely gone, which leaves the rough wood behind, splinters along the edges and grooves, and small bumps along the pant-bar. I don't think that those flaws happened due to the packaging and shipment, because though it appeared minimal, I believe it actually protected the hangers pretty well. My husband helped me sand down some of the bumps and splinters, and though it is disappointing because that's something that should have been taken care of during production, it smoothed the wood down and I have yet to have any incident with my clothes. Being that only 15% of the hangers I've so far ordered are flawed, I believe that warrants the 4 star review. I would completely recommend these hangers. My husband, who at first didn't agree with changing our hangers, now wants them for his closet since he's seen them in person and can tell how much better they are for our clothes, jackets, and suits. I should also mention, they take up much more space than the plastic hangers; I calculate that it's about 2-3 plastic hangers for the space of 1 wooden hanger. I'm satisfied with my purchases and plan to make more.

Great coat hangers, no rough sections at the cutouts, very high quality for the price.

First of all, I have to say that the vendor's packaging of these hangers, while creative and efficient, is also rather confusing. They package 10 hangars on top of 10 hangers, in sort of a "criss-cross" orientation, which while very efficient, makes it look like there are only 10 hangars in the box. I'm rather embarrassed to say this, but I initially returned my first delivery of these hangars, thinking that there were only 10 hangars in the box, not the 20 that I ordered. Amazon reshipped the order, and this time I looked in the shipping box more carefully, and realized how they were packed. After getting past this step, I found the hangars attractive, well sized, for a man's jacket, and they appear to be fairly robust.

I have tried several brands of wooden hangers carried by Amazon. These are pricey, but well-worth it when considering the the value of some types of clothing demanding this style of hanger. These hangers appear to be close to the quality of those seen in a department store men's department, the length of the lower hang rod is long enough to not cause the edge of the trousers to buckle and crease. The top portion is not of the extremely wide design demanded for topcoats, fur coats, and other heavy and fitted garments. But these hangers are perfect for use with men's trousers, and lightweight and hangable cardigans and sweaters. Plus - all types of women's fine clothing will prosper on these hangers. The hangers are well-finished, with no rough edges to disturb the appearance of a fine silk shirt, and it will not catch and pull on knits, sweaters, and cardigans of certain types. Naturally they are wide-enough at the top to prevent the dreaded "hanger line" that appears on both men's and women's heavier knit, silk, cotton, furs, or almost anything else where a thin line is most definitely not desirable across the shoulder tops. Again, these are not the style of hanger needed to hang a top coat, the suit jacket, ar a large and heavy winter coat. The finish work on these is excellent, the strength is remarkable by its absence from the problematical list, and the price is good for the quality delivered. I have slowly been switching my clothes, and those of my family, to this style of wooden hanger. They are not all of equal quality, some are poorly finished, and the bottom hang bar creases, or even pulls at the pant leg. This particular style of this particular brand is of good quality, and worth considering when reviewing hanger choices.

I got the hangs for a closet that needed to be organized. It had been a catch-all for sometime and my wife and I finally decided to clean it out. Since it was on the way outside we thought it would be a good place for our heavier winter clothes. After trying some of our standard hangers, those flimsy plastic ones, it was evident that we needed something that looked nicer and could do the job well. The hangers look very nice in person and have a nice solid wood feel to them. Definitely a good quality hanger. We have put some heavy coats on them and they are constantly being used, as winter is in full swing, and we have seen no slippage or anything to complain about. The swivel heads are a nice addition and our set even came with a free gift of non-slip stickers for the top edge. These would be good for lighter garments, but were unnecessary for our use. If you're looking for a well-priced set of wooden hangers this is definitely a good option.
