Really good, a bit tomato-y. My cousin used to bring it to us when she lived in Cincinnati and we loved it! We canโt find it locally, so itโs nice to be able to get it on desertcart! Review: A low sugar barbecue sauce - If you want a barbecue sauce that doesn't have sugar as it's first ingredient, try this one. They recommend that you heat it first and that is important. But try it.

The only BBQ sauce I will ever need
A long time ago back in the 1990's when I was a teenage I went to a restaurant in Cincinnati, OH. This restaurant went by the name of Montgomery Inn. They specialized in ribs, and they cooked them with this sauce. And the restaurant made the sauce available for their chips and other side items as well. I really liked the sauce and back then and I wasn't the only one as my father found out that it was was purchasable at the restaurant in bottles and picked some up. Eventually it made it to the local grocery stores and it became a routine purchase. Throughout the years it turns out that this sauce has become a stable of many households in the greater Cincinnati area so much so that it's available in "Taste of Cincinnati" products. Throughout my teens and twenties it's become a staple of my house hold and I can't remember a time when there wasn't a spare bottle in the pantry. Fast-forward to now, and I'm living out in Oregon and I have my own family: wife and kids and all that. My kids use this sauce daily and it's become the most requested dipping sauce. And my wife who exemplifies the phase verity is the spice of life has since stopped trying new bbq sauces only eats this one (when she's in the mood for BBQ). My kids are similar in nature and they keep requesting this sauce despite the fact we have about 4 different salad dressings, and numerous other sauces just sitting in our fridge moving slowly toward or past their expiration dates. My tastes have changed throughout the years and I don't eat pork or ribs anymore, but my enjoyment for this sauce has remained a favorite. Montgomery Inn BBQ sauce goes great with chicken or fish (salmon or tuna specifically), and just about anything I've tried including popcorn. And It mixes well with other sauces, one of my favorites is the blue cheese BBQ combo. Another combo for a little extra spice is adding some horseradish. If your someone who likes BBQ or likes tomato based sauces in general, or even just wants a taste of home (aka Cinci), I highly recommend this sauce, this product. And as someone who lives in Oregon far away from Cincinnati, OH and the grocery stores that carry this, I wanted to thank Amazon and the vendors that keep this stocked. If you keep carrying it, I'll happily keep purchasing it. Thanks for reading

As good as eating at the resteraunt!
As a Cincinnati native, I am always happy to be able to bring hometown flavors to my new city. I remember the resteraunt from childhood, and still haven't found a better flavor.

MY FAVORITE BBQ SAUCE
It's a matter of taste, but this is my favorite BBQ sauce. If you visit Cincinnati, go to the Montgomery Inn (aka Ribs King) for the best ribs you will ever eat! PS: Get the Sarotoga Chips too.

Itโs the best
Our all-time favorite barbecue sauce. We come from Cincinnati and have been gone for 30 some years but always order this barbecue sauce as it is the best. A little pricey, but well worth it.

Sweet and tangy
My favorite bbq sauce! Admittedly, I add a few ingredients because I love spicy sauce, but I have used this sauce for years as my base.

Best BBQ Sauce There Is
BBQ sauce is a very personal choice, one that can at times bring reasonable men to blows. Personally, I swear by Montgomery Inn BBQ sauce. It has been my favorite for over 40 years. Sure, there are pretenders with which I sometimes step out, but they are just that - pretenders. I always go back to MI. Helpful tip: Do NOT baste your ribs with MI sauce until the last 5 minutes or so of heat; you don't want to burn it.
