Rubie's Star Wars: The Force Awakens Child's Deluxe Kylo Ren Costume, Medium

My son is four going on five and loves to dress up. So much so, that every Halloween we end up buying extra costumes for him to wear throughout the year until he outgrows them just in time for the next Halloween. His closet is full of superheroes, but lately, he's gotten on a serious Star Wars kick and really wanted to be Kylo Ren. The costume itself is the highest quality I have ever bought. The material is very thick and well made and doesn't snag easily if the velcro accidentally catches on it like other costumes we've bought in the past. The robe actually consists of quite a bit of material with pieces of varying lengths, and the hood/cloak is all one combined piece which is awesome and also very high quality. The mask arrived with the styrofoam piece that's supposed to be glued to the forehead just floating around the box, so my husband had to glue it back on. So far it is holding up, but we'll see how long that lasts. The mask is admittedly, my least favorite part, it is very wide and leaves a mark on my son's nose if he wears it for too long. The length is perfect all around, sleeves, and otherwise. He hasn't wanted to take it off since it arrived and is currently playing a Star Wars game on the couch while wearing it. My only complaint was in the packaging. We received the costume just waded up in a ball with the mask and the cardboard insert just floating in the box. It was obviously a return that they sent back out, but at least everything was in there and it was in good condition.

Very happy with this costume... the quality and detail (well for Kylo Ren) were very good for the price paid. My 9yo son hasn't quite hit his growth spurt yet, so he's about 4'4" and 62lbs... he usually wears an 8 or 10 in boys size shirts... I got him this outfit in Medium and it's a perfect fit, with the costume just coming an inch or so off the floor... the costume comes with the main robe, a belt and hood/cape piece... I added some cheap black cloth winter gloves ($1.50 at Walmart) and a N'ice Caps Kids Unisex Micro Fleece Neck Gaiter (8-16yrs, black) to cover the neck (costumes with masks always look silly with an exposed neck). You'll of course need a sword, as the costume doesn't come with one either, so I picked up the Star Wars The Force Awakens Kylo Ren Deluxe Electronic Lightsaber to finish it off. If I had one complaint (well, it's actually my son's complaint), the mask (front half only, the back is covered by the hood) sits pretty close to the face... there is some foam padding inside the mask, but my son he said his eyes felt too close to the mesh-screen covering the eye slot in the mask, and I had to add a little extra padding to the mask to put some space there and my son was happy with that.

This is a GREAT costume. We had trouble getting my 5 year old grandson to open any of his other birthday presents because he was so into this costume. It comes with a belt, hood and mask, all of which are really cool. I also bought the gloves that are sold on the same page as this costume. Even though he's only 5, I bought the medium which I was surprised to see was size 8-10 when I received it. I thought I would have to send it back but other than the robe being a few inches too long, it fit great. My daughter-in-law said he wouldn't take it off that evening. I also bought an 8-10 in the Darth Maul costume and it was too large. It will be good when he grows into it as it's also a very nice costume.

This costume looked like good quality for this price. The mask is hard plastic and stood up well to many light saber battles; it has a small piece of Velcro at the back of the strap to enable a tight fit yet easy removal. Some threads started to unravel on the bottom of the costume that touched the floor and was undoubtedly walked on by my tall almost 7-year-old. Still, this was decent quality through three wearings and will have a reasonable life as a dress up costume.

What a cool costume!! My son looks adorable even with a mask :) The costume is made of quality material thick and opaque. Not the flimsy types. Also the design of the costume is quite comfortable. It didn't hinder activities of a highly energetic Halloween event including lots of walking, sitting, games and even a Thriller dance. I have to admit the mask is snug fitting and can't be worn along with prescription glasses. You have to take either one of them off. On a lighter note, Kylo ren did make other storm troopers bow to him. What else would a kid want out of a Halloween costume other than being and feeling like their fav super hero/villain.

In a sea of mediocre kids costumes, this Kylo Ren costume is really nice for the money. The material is really decent, the fit was perfect and it just looks really great on! My 6 year old son loved it. Note that the lightsaber shown in the picture is not included.

I bought this for my son who is 4 1/2, I got him a medium since I wanted him to use it for awhile. It fit him perfectly, just a little long on the legs. The material is good quality, not the typical costume garbage. The mask fit him well. The belt was a little loose, but i sized up on the costume for him. Overall a great costume!

Based on other reviews, I assumed this would run large, and ordered a size down (small) for my 6 year old. His other costumes from last year still fit him well, and they are all a size small. This is VERY tight on him, especially around the back of the neck where you're supposed to velcro it closed. We are unable to velcro it. The length is also short, but it will work. IMO, this runs true to size, and I should have ordered a medium. It will be hard to get a warm shirt on underneath. Good thing though, he doesn't seem to care at all.
