Wild Bird Woodpecker Suet Nuggets Mega Box, 8 Pounds

I put these in a squirrel feeder mixed with their food to distract them from my regular bird feeders. It has worked wonderfully. The smell is strong so mixing it with a cheaper blend of food transfers the smell. No shells to worry about. They are pellets.

This is called a woodpecker blend yet has similar ingredients to C&S's other "suet peanut" offerings. Since this one is the least expensive, we settled on it. My 90 yr old mom goes though a box every 3-4 weeks and I go through a little less (but have fewer feeders). All the birds seem to like it, especially as the cold settles in. The high fat is good for the birds when it's cold and these peanuts are much more convenient and sized to measure, blend and mix into standard feeders. Always appears fresh and comes in a re-sealable plastic bag to stay that way. C&S is a quality brand.

The woodpeckers and doves LOVE these suet nuggets. I like to buy a box to supplement the regular bird seed to add variety. It's high quality, and soft enough for many birdies to enjoy.

These suet balls and the other flavor in sunflower seed are on my subscribe and save! The wild birds adore them and choose them over every other food item offered on my bird feeder stand. The only other item they regularly go crazy over is the Kaytee shelled peanuts.

Birds enjoy this suet, however of the three bags I ordered one was received was just a bag of pulverized mush. I did improvise and was able to use it. One star removed but I’d buy again mainly because it’s very economical.

We have many backyard feeders and camera feeders and these are loved by many different types of birds. I love to ensure they are in my feed mix in the winter especially when the fat is suet is so beneficial for the birds. They come packed in a ziplock bag to keep them soft and fresh. The appearance of to be similar to the ones we were buying at the stores yet buying the bulk box they are cheaper without sacrificing quality.

Very popular with my backyard birds (blue jays, mourning doves, chickadees, etc). I just put a handfull on my patio and watch dozens of them clean everything out in minutes! Perfect for winter feeding. I have also tried the berry flavor (well, the birds have), but the peanut flavor is, by far, the most popular with the birds species that visit my neighborhood.

5 stars from the Blue Jays, White-breasted Nuthatches and Woodpeckers, and no stars from the Black-capped Chickadees. The chickadees would rather starve than eat these nuggets although they love C&S Peanut Suet. Mixed with shelled peanuts in a tube feeder or loose on a platform feeder they will disappear within no time.
