Great Choice to Soft-Mod your PS2
Works perfectly on my 30001 series "Phat" PS2. I was concerned about preserving my humble collection of PS2 games as well as the hardware itself, as the laser units don't last forever. This allowed me to dump my BIOS for use with an emulator, as well as install an old 250GB 2.5" HDD using this SATA adapter designed specifically for the PS2: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JFPSZJP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Now all my games run from the HDD and the discs are safely stored away. PROS: Reasonable price. Has all the applications you'll need for homebrew, BIOS dumping, file management, and running your ISO files from a HDD instead of using the original game DVDs - preserving your games and hardware. CONS: (All minor, in my opinion) Comes with uLaunchELF which is older and no longer developed - wLaunchElf is the more current fork. Has an older version of OPL also. Generic 8MB MC, not a genuine Sony card, nor is it "Magic Gate" certified. The cons are not significant in my opinion. Although older, both uLanchELF and OPL worked fine and allowed me to achieve my goals as described above. You can pretty easily update all these applications if there are features/functions that you need for other, more involved tasks. I've read a lot of comments about the cheap, generic MCs simply not working, but so far this MC is working fine. I'm not writing to it, just reading, so that should increase longevity. Besides, I can just create my own FreeMcBoot MC on a higher-quality MC now if I felt it was necessary (which I don't). Definitely well worth the price and performed flawlessly. If you're looking for a quality Soft-Mod FreeMcBoot, this is it. Cheers!

Amazon sucks, But this shipped through usps so it was safe from people who steal
This is plug and play it's great. Might be a little pricy but it's ok. I was going to fully mod my ps2 but my package got stolen and amazon did corporate b.s. and wouldn't reimburse me. So, I lost 120 dollars so I am not very happy. Advice buy off of ebay, or make sure shipping provider is usps. Someone who knows or is willing to drop at a safe room.

Good purchase
Worked perfectly on my SCPH-70000. Highly recommend this as you’d probably need a memory card anyway.

Guida per giocare tramite Opl e chiavetta Usb
Perfetta!

Simple plug-and-play setup that worked straight away
I bought this to add Free McBoot to my PS2 setup, and it did exactly what it was supposed to do. It was genuinely plug and play, worked straight away, and saved me having to set everything up myself from scratch. The card was recognised without any issues and performed exactly as expected. Overall, it was a straightforward and hassle-free way to get Free McBoot up and running on my console, and I'd happily recommend it to other PS2 owners looking for a simple solution.
