Gwenies pastry always arrives in a timely manner and is a must for Fresh Pastry that comes in the mail. The products are always fresh>the ingredients are sweetened just right....NOT TOO SWEET There was once an error on one order with the count and they immediately corrected the problem >within 3 days I received a replacement.

I loved the flavors of these desserts. It is just like home. I tasted both piyaya and mongo hopia right away and boy I can’t stop eating more. The only downside was that I received the box with only one pack of hopia when I ordered two packs. I contacted the seller and they replied promptly telling me that the missing pack will be delivered to me soon. Other than that, excellent product that satisfy cravings.

I thought I don’t need to go to Chinatown any more. These cakes are not good at all. If this bakery needs to keep customers then they must improve their products.

I would wait and go to Chinatown, it’s just not good enough for the price, I admit it does taste better than the top competitor on line, (but not much, I am a hopia expert lol, I was disappointed with this product to bready and not much taste, a tab better than the competitor ( I won’t mention any names) Your better off buying something from a local bakery, it won’t be hopia, but you then won’t be disappointed, save your money for the real stuff

The mongo hopia was tasty but very hard to bite into. If you're in the pit of nowhere in the world where asian markets are not available, then yes, they're great to have delivered to you. But if you're near asian bakeries and/or markets with filipino sweet snacks like hopia, then go there instead. If i had went to a filipino bakery near me, I would have had fresher tastier hopia rather than have it come all the way from the East to the west coast.

Had bean curd cakes marked with red Chinese lettering sold from Chinese stores/markets. Only the outmost layer of dough was flaky, too much dough and not enough cooked. Doughy inner layers of cake should be cooked longer, or use less pastry. Looked like there green onions in the cake, was not sweet at all, taste like onions. Disappointed with “sweet” bean curd cake.
