Culinary Institute of America Masters Collection 8-Quart Stock Pot with Cover

It is a well built stock pot except for "falls short on craftsmanship with rim finishing and lid fitting" as another purchaser pointed out. I would dock another 1/2 star if it were possible. But a 3 star review would not be fair at all for the overall build quality. Fair value for the $85 I paid. Would be a bargain if the Lid fit and rim finish were perfect.

Very nice. Even heat transfer. Nice workmanship but falls a bit short on craftsmanship with rim finishing and lid fitting. Still it is a good value. This is a Viking knockoff, Viking being a 10 this being a 9. I'm a professional chef and the CIA has a solid reputation for culinary knowledge. Viking has a great reputation for making the worlds best cookware. Save your money until you get enough for the original Viking version which will be painfully expensive.

Excellent stock pot have already used it 3 times! Very even heat with a gas stove. Would purchase again.

great except the lid doesn't fit the pot very closely.
