A very good price for a soft, lightweight cap that fits close perfectly. It can even pull down and keep the top of your ears warm. It's a great sleeping cap, running cap or fashion cap. They're made of cotton jersey - soft and very cottony but close fitting, snug no matter how much you wear it. It goes well with anything: the dog walking or the night grocery errand as well as with business slacks and white ladies shirt. I love the available colours.

I purchased the beanie in spite of some of the negative reviews about it being too tight or too small. First-off, it is NOT made of nylon or spandex, it is 60% cotton and 40% polyester. That makes it breathable, light, and absorbent. It's stretchy, but cotton is not elastic! It is a quality product. It will maintain it's shape. I plan to get another, maybe in a different color. I wear a size large hat, I have longish hair, and it fits me comfortably over the ears, or I can double it over to wear it above my ears. It's light enough for warm weather, and warm enough for a chilly day. I will wash it in a detergent for delicate fabrics by hand. It will maintain shape and color longer that way. It might be too tight for an enormous head, thick dreadlocks, or if you were expecting nylon or some really stretchy material. The product description does not indicate it is super stretchy; and you would know better if you pay attention to what kind of material a garment is made of before you buy it. There will also be some factory defects in all garments, and in that case I would have rated accordingly. I like it, I look good in it, and it was a smart purchase!

I liked that this beanie was thin, great for early fall and spring when the weather hasn't decided it's final temperatures. I believe it would be too cold for winter wear alone and too hot for summer period. Only thing I didn't like is the extra length that bunches up, if this thing fit like a helmet liner style it would be perfect to me, but it's still a great beanie and very comfortable.

This hat is comfortable, but too thin for frigid days.

Breathable

PERFECT! These are perfect on a cool and warm day. I live in FL and wear them to protect my head (thinning hair) from the sun in the summer. They are a breathable material. In fall when it cool off I wear the to keep my head warmer. They are good to about 45 degrees for me the I put on my wool cap.

Several years ago at REI, I purchased two very thin (borderline sheer), single layer, SmartWool brand black beanies that are perfection for this bald guy who wanted something thin for cool (but not cold) weather, and that went and stayed down over the bottom of my ears, even after springing back into shape. I lost one a few years ago, and the second one is beginning to get holes. SmartWool and Arc'terx both still make beanies that fit my needs, minus one trait: they now make them too short to stay down over my ears, after springing back into shape during movement. And they make others that are tall enough to stay down over the bottom of my ears, but are too thick for only cool - but not cold - temperatures. So I suspected I had finally found a good replacement here based on Amazon seller and reviewer descriptions. But when I got these, they feel too cold to me, due to not being wool. And they spring back above the bottom of my ears, thus allowing wind to blow up into my ear canals. And despite being thin, they are still double layer, which is too thick for my needs. I want ultra thin single layer wool that is tall enough to *stay* down over the very bottom of my ears. And that is not a slouch look beanie with a mop hanging down from the top. Not finding any that fit my need online or at REI. I'm going to try ordering a summer slouch cotton beanie now, as a compromise.

I've bought a few of these, they're great, wash easy, durable, value for money, great to wear in the warmer months. And they look great too. I love the little logo on the front.

Bought it for a friend who lives in a place that is very windy.she uses it whenever she goes for a walk at night.She says she will use it under her ski helmet as well.so she was happy
