SINGER 01662 Mini Sew Essentials , White

This is the perfect thing for a person who enjoys sewing, an organizer like this is amazing. But be careful, this is pure plastic and so, need to be gentle with it. To close it, is kinda difficult at first and many of the reviews says that everything falls apart when you try to close it. Maybe it wouldn't be so, if you just keep the carton boards that comes with it, attached when you finish using the tools. Everything has is space and close well. Mine came i little dirty and chop in some edges, but doesn't show so much so I keep it. Anyway I like a lot!! Great idea for the price!

When taking it out of the box one side fell off. None of the pieces stayed where they were supposed to stay. It was inexpensive, and the quality showed it.

I love this set. It is a medium size and has all the essential for sawing. I bought this for my daughter who is always borrowing my sawing kit. it is easy to open, has little compartments for button, needles, pins. It also has a tape measure, thimbles, scissors and about 20 spools of different color threats. Excellent for you or gift

I bought this kit to do minor repairs or sew on buttons. I am not a seamstress by any stretch, but it is a nice little kit and has the essentials. The holder is a bit tricky to fold back up and shut, but works fine if you have a bit of patience. For $10 bucks I think it is a fine little sewing kit for those of us who muddle along fixing rips or sewing buttons back on. I like the fact that everything you need is in one small space and can easily be stored away. Having the thread spools each on their own spindle keeps them from becoming a tangled up mess of threads like my last one did. If you are someone who really loves to sew this is not good enough quality to hold up to constant use, but for occasional repairs it should hold up just fine.

The kit is fine, but the plastic box it comes in is junk. It is such a PIA to open and close the box, you're better off just emptying the contents of it in a ziplock bag. I really cant believe they couldn't create a better container, considering it's 2015 and boxes have been around for centuries, LOL.

My grand daughter had started showing interest in sewing.. When I learned she was getting a small sewing machine from her parents, I ordered this kit . Ever so glad I did, She says it's perfect and I think so too. Her Mom loves the cas that keeps all the thread, bobbins, pins and needles up and out of the way. Quick delivery, perfect condition! Happy grand daughter. PRICELESS!

My daughter asked me to fix a dress for her and provided me with a free sewing kit that she got from a hotel. It was useless with dull needles and about 6-inches of thread on each free spool. I bought her this-though she does not sew, so that when she has a need to have something fixed, she has adequate supplies. Even she was impressed with the items in the case. This is a great MUST have for anyone who is a NON-sewer and to fix hems, etc.

Bought this from my sister's Amazon wishlist. I checked it out when it came in, and what a piece of junk. Poorly fitted plastics, hard to reclose, with the inner chanber doors popping open and spilling their contents. The first time I tried to close the thing back up, I had to open and close it a dozen times. The inner doors kept falling off---as you close the sides, it pushes the inner doors open. Once of these inner doors was missing one" hinge" and won't stay in place at all. Sheesh....don't waste your money. Next time I will get one of the tackle boxes they make for sewing, with the spool and bobbin storage areas and room for all of your sewing notions like buttons and zippers. That would be much more durable, plus you could expand the gift by stocking it with QUALITY (ahem) thread, pins, needles, etc.
