Hardly any give when swinging this bad boy around. One of the reviews made me confused on this point, so FYI. This thing is heavy duty. It's a bit on the short side, but for a CQC scenario it would excel nonetheless. Super sharp out of the box. The sheath snaps together so it's not going to fly off when you're practicing with it on. The blade is thick and feels like it can take a beating. For stabbing and slashing it would work well. I'm not sure how much it will tolerate being thrown into wood, and I personally didn't get it for this purpose. For animal tissue it would have zero problems and hold up very well, I'm confident in saying.
