Hello, Bugs!: Black and White Sparkler Board Book

We bought this (together with 'Hello Animals') for our 10 week old daughter and both books have been a great success. She is happy to stare at each page with their clear bold images for longer than I expected, and when you tilt the book you can make the flashes of foil colour sparkle for even more eye widening entertainment! The books are perfect for linking with songs, for example we sing 'There's a worm at the bottom of my Garden' when we get to the page with the worm, which even says 'wiggle wiggle' and 'Incy Wincy Spider' for the spider page, so there is plenty of scope to develop the fun.My only very slight reservation is the quality of the card book itself, the black edges were already slightly scuffed when it arrived and I can imagine that once she reaches the grabbing and sucking stage they could deteriorate rather quickly. That said, for first books to read together- fantastic!

Our little girl loves this book! She’s now 12 weeks old and this is definitely a favourite. She loves looking at the images and the bit of colour in there captures her attention wonderfully. I would highly recommend. Definitely one to use from birth, not sure when she’ll be bored of it but at 12 weeks it’s still going strong.

My newborn was really taken with this book from as early as 1 week old. She obviously is interacting more as she’s getting older. The images are lovely and ice catching and the little bit of colour too. I’d highly recommend from age 0+ She is happily distracted with it whilst I grab 5 minutes in the shower.

Our 3 week old loves this book, the worm & the dragonfly are current favourites to look at :) the splash of colours are shiny too so even more interesting for the bubs. My partner & I love the book too as we love our wildlife, trying our hardest as first time parents to add a bit of narration ;)

My 2 month old daughter loves that book. The shiny paper is really nice and the drawings really cute.

Lovely black and white with a dash of colour on each page using foil that catches the eye the creatures are not all in the same place. It is a regular read with my baby

First book our baby paid attention to when a couple of weeks old. It’s beautifully illustrated - his eyes go wide at the vibrant images and he really tries to follow the them with his eyes when you turn the page.

definitely recommend this book for little ones - i thought my baby would be too young to properly enjoy it at just 6 weeks old, but seeing his eyes widen when i turn to a new page is just magical!! worth every penny :)

Lo vi recomendado en un blog y decidí comprarlo. Se lo enseño al peque desde que tiene 2 meses y medio y desde el primer día se queda mirando las imágenes super-atento: le llaman muchísimo la atención. Así que cumple con su función. Los dibujos, por cierto, son preciosos: en blanco y negro con partes brillantes, como en la portada.

A great first book for babies, with engaging, shiny and high-contrast graphics. My child really enjoys looking at this book. It also works well as a first reader. It is durable and has held up well to daily use.

Ein tolles Buch und super Verarbeitung. Die Farben kommen schön zur Geltung.

Livre cartonné, avec des animaux en contraste. Belles matières brillantes.Mon bébé de 5 mois aime le regarder.
