Works great. I did have a small leak at the brass fitting. Took it apart and used pipe dope on it. Seemed to have stopped the leak. Decent size for rain water irrigation pump.

This hose filter is very useful for screening out grit and such that can clog sprinklers. Be aware that the clear plastic cylinder in which the filter sits weakens so much in sunlight that it eventually breaks off after a season or two of use. It would be helpful to be able to purchase a new cylinder rather than toss out the rest of the unit, but one is not offered.

I bought these to add as inline filters to my washing machine since the sediment from the well would clog the fine screens and make it take forever to fill. Works as expected, seems to have made a big difference.

I bought two. After using it for 10 days, One day I realized it was leaking bad all night long, so I replaced the rubber seal and did everything I could, but it continued leaking, so I installed the second one and tried several other things, but it seems to leak from the cup's threads. The second one started leaking after 2 weeks I've lost confidence in this product.

My water source (tight lined irrigation) doesn't have sticks or stones , but a green algae. Before this filter I couldn't run sprinkler heads like ORBITS, ETC. WITH this filter it keeps water clean enough to run these heads now 10 to 12 hrs before sacrificing water flow noticeably. Then just reverse flow screen clean and go. Bowl unscrew easily and filter cleaned in seconds. Due to all the fittings I'm not sure if I would run this type of filter INDOORS , as if it leaked your gonna have a mess. I use mine outdoors always, doesn't leak when installed correctly, but doesn't matter in my situation. Clear bowl let's you see how dirty filter is. Very operator friendly. Will buy more as my needs requires. ****UPDATE**** After using several days, and cleaning screen daily. Screen gets distortion on end and is a pain to get back in place. Makes it unusable. I found same company has same filter (under pressure washer use) which has a Rigid screen, why they don't put these Rigid screens in all there products is beyond me. So buy the pressure washer version of this unit if your going to be cleaning screen daily.

If you are having issues with your sprinklers working and you have well water give this a try. I had sediment in my hose line so bad that the little black screen washers would constantly keep clogging, even using 2 -3 of them placed at different intervals, causing the sprinkler to stop oscillating. This solved the problem. I have planted new grass and have been using the sprinkler daily for over 3 weeks now and no issues! I can see a good deal of sediment in the filter, but have not even had to dump or clean it yet!

I had this installed inline after the ball valve on my rain catchment system and it broke after 6 months. I opened the ball valve and water shot out of the top of this filter. Then I noticed the threaded section tore. Completely unacceptable. Update 3/6/2025 - Adding 2 stars because the company did right by me and sent me a refund. They also offered a replacement.

Filter as described. Ready to use when received, simply attach to the water source and to the hose. The clear sediment bowl makes it easy to see if sediment is accumulating. When disconnected it is easy to drain.
