Is this also a maternity tens machine? Is it suitable to use for labour?

I just bought one and had the same question. I contacted the AUVON customer service and this is what they told me: "Because the frequency and pulse width are not suitable for pregnant women. We also mention that in our manual - DO NOT USE ON THESE INDIVIDUALS: Pregnant women. Here we send you a picture to show the manual.".

Can this be on continuously?

Absolutely I use mine sometimes for about 3-4 hours. So as long as there’s enough power I see no problem with it. Oh the battery lasts ages I’m using mine daily and on just over half power and only charging once a week so far.

When ive used the pad do i just stick it onto the plastic holder or do they need to go onto the clear piece of film first

Stick the pads straight onto the plastic holder. This keeps the pads sticky. Hope this helps.

Would this benefit my husband who has arthritis in his hands?

I have arthritis in both hands, as well as in my back, knees and hips. In my experience my back and knee pain has decreased 50%, my hips 40%, and my hands 40%. I have been using the TENS machine for 6 months. Yes I recommend for all the above. Just remember to buy new pads....
