Monoprice 104792 3ft Premier Series 1/4in TRS Male to Male Cable, 16AWG (Gold Plated) Black

This is a fantastic TRS cable - by far, the lowest ohms of any cable I have purchased. I use it with a Variax modeling guitar that uses the RING conductor to supply power to internal computer. With ALL other reasonably priced cables I tried, their resistance reduced the voltage just enough that the guitar's computer kept dropping out (internal circuitry ensures the supply voltage is within a small range or it shuts everything down). This cable has larger wire and gold plated connectors to ensure low ohms. It is bright and clear so the capacitance must be low too. Has a very sturdy feel and performance equal to far more expensive cables. The guitar pictured is a Variax 500 with magnetic pickups I added to provide even more versatility to the internal computer.

The item arrived to me very quickly when I needed it. As for the product itself, it was a very well made, sturdy cord. I needed them for my new speakers, and the cords have been great so far. The sound itself is also good. Product was easy to install.

Monoprice always work, and are way less expensive than some other, "Top Brand" cables.

This is a really nice cable. I would guess I will have this for my lifetime. At 16 AWG, it's very hefty. The connector housing is all metal. Has a small spring at the base of the housing to keep tension off the cable when being bent at a severe angle. The connector is gold-plated. The connector housing can be unscrewed if for some reason you ever need to work on it. I doubt you will. The connections themselves are actually further protected inside a little clear plastic tube which extends down into those springs that I mentioned. You can see the soldering, and it looks great. Like I said, I expect this to be a lifetime cable. This is the TRS (balanced/stereo), but I have their TS (unbalanced/mono) from the same product line as well. Build quality is identical.

These cables from Monoprice are much thicker than I would have imagined just from the pics available on the sales page. The end points are solid, clicking nicely into wherever I need them to plug in. The one factor which prevents me from rating the cable a full five stars deals with the way the jack screws into the outer sheath at the end of the wire. It does not take much to unscrew the end piece, as evidenced a number of times when inserting and then removing the TRS ends from hard to reach places. I found that I would accidentally unscrew the sheath which left the innards showing. With that being said, I would still heartily recommend these cables just realize they are best plugged in and left alone.

Amazed by how these cables perform with my studio monitors. No static and no noise when paired with my Eris 5 and Scarlett 2i2. In the past with other cables, l I would hear faint static noises or pops when plugged in, but these just worked perfectly. I’m also pretty impressed with the thickness of the cables. It seem like it would last in terms of durability (though it will just stay static at home). Although, I will be ordering more in the future for when needing cables while on the go.

The quality of this cable is unlike any other I’ve used before. As a professional musician, I’ve used countless different professional grade cables, including Mogami and LiveWire Elite. This cable feels better than any I’ve used before. The weight of the 3 foot cable I bought is heavier than cables twice its size. The thickness tells me it has excellent shielding. There are also reinforcements at the ends of the cable where they are most likely to fray/break. Overall, I am very impressed. This seems like a cable that will last for years. I will give it a year, and if this cable is still functional, I may only buy this brand from now on considering the quality for the price. It just feels like much better quality than some of the most expensive cables on the market. I will update my review in a year. For the price, I don’t think you can find a better cable.

used it to replace my mono cables btw the interface and my yamaha hs8's....difference is night and day........cables are really upto spec as described......recomended for all studio use.5 stars

Construction is pretty good with heat shrink used in the connector. The cable itself is very flexible. Gold flashing is thin as expected.

These are excellent quality cables. No regrets.
