Works well, easy to set up, allows use of adjacent outlets
I like the design and look of this switch. It has the plug located closer to the left end and thus is offset to the right when plugged in... this is great as it does not block any left-side outlet in a 4x outlet box. It is also thin enough that it does not block access to any outlet located above or below it. The energy monitoring works well. The only downside is that it is rated for 10A (which is the norm for wifi switches) and I would have preferred 15A ...But, for the cost it is a bargain and I would buy more. Works well with the tuya smartlife app.

This is not just a want, but a need !
I love these things! What’s awesome is that the tuya app is able to connect with IFTTT, which is great because i’m able to integrate these plugs with a lot of different routines, like say when i’m leaving the house. It also works great with siri. i was kind of confused as how to integrate it but basically you just have to set up a “Tap-To-Run” on either the tuya smart app or the smart life app. If you have iphone, you should then see a button that says “add to siri” I use mine for aroma therapy, so it’s nice that if i don’t feel like yelling over to my echo, i can just speak it to my phone. and because it’s so compatible, i can have my wax melters turn on when i pass a certain point on the commute back home, or toggle it if my front door opens. you guys wouldn’t be disappointed in these. especially if you love setting up automation. almost to mention about the energy monitoring. it can be quite useful such as if you’re trying to test if your fast phone chargers are working correctly. 5/5 would recommend to a friend ! Oh, almost forgot to mention about the location of the actual plugs on the product. They’re set off to the side, which is great because they don’t take up that much space if say you needed to put two together side by side

Easy set up with Smart Life App
Super easy setup with Smart Life App: Open Smart Life App, click plus sign, add device, then click on Power Strip (Wi-Fi), enter your 2.4Ghz wifi info and click next. Power off the device for 10 seconds, plug in and then hold the button on the side until in blinks fast, appx 5 seconds, it should search and then add your device. Easy setup, having 2 separately controlled outlets, plus the power monitoring make this a very good low cost smart plug.

This Biggest Waste of Money - and Time - Ever!
These are horrible products as is the company that manufactures them. I tried for more than 4 hours to install them under the app specified by Avatar Controls and they never worked. Can you call the company for help? Of course not. Because like every other tech company on the planet, they believe that all of their customers are millennials who grew up with this technology, and thus, any "eight-year-old can do it." I sent emails to the support department and they responded back with the same information that is printed on the back of the pitiful excuse for an instruction pamphlet provided with the plugs. I am returning these as quickly as possible and praying that no one else experiences the frustration that I have over the last few days. Do yourself a favor and just get up and turn on or turn off your devices. If you're like me, you need the exercise anyway.

Easy set up and works... But not 100%
The ease of linking up was great. What I do not like is the power monitoring. Watts/Voltage=Amps. It is way off, it should read 871mA? Instead it says it is using 1.3 A. Guess it is time to dig deeper and see if all do the same and what info if any, is actually accurate. Overall for the price it is a good value.

Great dual plug, works with tuya-convert and tasmota as of October 16, 2021
So I bought these a little worried they may not work with tuya-convert and/or Tasmota, but these seem to still be compatible with that as of October 16, 2021. Form factor is a little odd, as the main plug is off center to the right (if looking at it from the front), so something to keep in mind depending on where you are going to put it. I've had/have dual plugs that go out to the side, and out the front, I think if your location has space for going out the front you'll generally be happier that way, but I can understand why that doesn't work everywhere. Overall pretty happy with these, will likely buy a few extras on spec

Toggles relays unintentionally and unexpectedly, but power monitoring makes up for it. Easy setup.
Loves to just randomly decide to click the devices off then back on. Absolutely not OK for things that ... well, that would prefer not to be unexpectedly rebooted. As another person has mentioned, these seem to use latching relays, which are awesome, but the device really should remember if it was last turned on or off so it doesn't need to cycle when it reboots (the plug, that is). The killer feature of these things is the power monitoring - ability to show volts/amps/watts in real time. That's what I needed it for, as I plan on automating a bidirectional grid battery using these plugs as the automation infrastructure. I can see their current status from anywhere, then. Very nice and good price! Update: It turns out that power monitoring is dramatically incorrect, at least on my units (2-pack, dual outlets each). Actual wattage (Kill-A-Watt) might be 600 watts, but app reports 400 - and the discrepancy scales linearly (40w app = 60w actual). That's a huge mistake. But, it makes up for it in that (1) the app is very powerful and generally bug-free, (2) schedules execute properly and on-time, (3) the units are never offline, and (4) they're reliable and don't click-off unintentionally (as above). I automate my home battery charging/discharging using these switches on schedules, and it's been reliable enough to chop my power bill in half (by shifting whole home load to off-peak power) and that's awesome. It just doesn't monitor/log correctly, but I'm OK with that.

Bad ground connection but they do work...
These don't allow tuya convert, but they certainly still work with esphome as an esp8285 device. You have to cut open a slot in the rear bottom middle to get to the chip and physically flash it. On all of mine the ground was NOT SOLDERED to the board. This is a safety issue. You can look into the right ground slot in the front and see the pin isn't sticking thru. I've verified it when I cut one open.. see the photo, it's totally not soldered. You can fix it if you've got the equipment (soldering iron etc). The chip is an esp8266-s3 module by hysiry.
