LIGHTAILING Light Set For (Technic Land Rover Defender) Building Blocks Model - Led Light kit Compatible With Lego 42110(NOT Included The Model)

I installed the Lightailing kit for the Defender as I built it. This looked as if it was much easier than having to partly dismantle the model to install it as I didn’t think that the instructions were that clear. The 14-minute video on YouTube was much more focused. Installing as you construct the Defender means that you fit the lighting in reverse order, starting with the tail lights, then the interior and spots and finally the front lighting. The rear lights were very straight forward and the wires were easily hidden behind the framework above the gearbox. (See photos) I mounted the two internal lights underneath the front roof framework (see photos) before completing the construction of the roof. I think this position gives better lighting for the interior. Once I had mounted the two roof spotlights, I threaded the front lighting and the wires underneath the engine and between the suspension, ready for the construction of the front of the model. I then gathered the excess wire, of which there is quite a bit, and the USB plug and ‘hid’ them behind the passenger seat. The wires seem to have a mind of their own and keep springing back from behind the seat. So, to keep them in place I tied them up with small pieces of pipe cleaner – I knew they’d come in handy again one day! Initially I thought the kit was quite expensive for what it was but once the model was completed and the lights switched on, it looked stunning. Even the wife was impressed! Highly recommended!

Its very good with all the gearing, and looks great. With it being lego it does losen so gears now give a cracking sound when wheels are turned. Just have it on static display. Easy to follow instructions and the quality is good.

Bought as a gift for a family member who has the lego defender on display. Looks excellent, and the lego model is now switched on in the evenings. Quite fiddly to install but was worth it in the end

Fantastic product haven’t had any problems with it at all... easy installation apart from being fiddly wires to feed through the car... it does transform my set completely! I recommend this set to anyone who’s wanting to make their set pop! Happy buying!

It is a bit fiddly to install and involves a little deconstructing of the car. However, if you bought this technic kit in the first place it is because you like a bit of a challenge. Instruction book has a 100 photograph assembly guide. The wires are delicate and so you have to be gentle. I taped mine down inside the car to keep it neat and avoid any accidental breakage. End result is as shown and I think it adds an extra dimension to the model, so I am pleased with the purchase. My only gripe, hence fours stars, was the ridiculously cheap battery box (am guessing it cost something like 5p to manufacture). The batteries slide around and so the lights flicker on and off.

Montaggio molto facile. se si seguono le istruzioni c’è da smontare parecchio ma secondo me se si è un po’ sgamati senza smontare quasi nulla e veramente facile da montare

Das ist mein zweiter Lichtbausatz den ich in ein Lego Modell eingebaut habe. Der erste war von einer anderen Firma wo ich alle Dioden einzeln auf eine Steckerleiste anbringen musste. Der hier ist praktischer. Ich habe den Satz wärend des Zusammenbaus mit eingebaut. Alle Teile passten super zusammen. Den Batteriekasten mit USB Anschluss finde ich super praktisch. Wenn das Modell imDunkeln läuchtet, kann man denken, es fährt gleich los ; )
