The lamp was bought for my mother-in-law who enjoys a touch base when she gets up at night. She and I purchased this lamp with a bit of hesitation due to several reviews that talked about the lamp coming with broken parts or the lamp not working properly. Thankfully, we found neither of these to be true. The lamp was packed very well with the glass panels wrapped in foam and then placed into a sturdy box. The panels and the rest of the lamp was packed in a solid double walled carton and then that carton placed into another shipping carton. Obviously, in shipping anything can, on occasion, get broken, but with the packing of this lamp it would take a major hit or crush to damage any of the parts. The second complaint in reviews revolved around the lamp not working. We did not find this to be true. The lamp worked perfectly and my mother-in-law is very happy with the purchase, as am I. Not only is it good looking but it is a measure of safety for her that is most appreciated by the family. I would recommend it and suggest to anyone looking for a similar lamp. Great value!

We love this lamp. They are the perfect size for our night stands. There is some assembly required, but it's pretty easy. My hands are large, so I had trouble after getting the first panel mounted. But after I showed my wife what to do, she zipped right thru it. The only challenge we found was getting the right light bulb. I could not find any light bulbs for touch lamps. The first bulb I tried would not go off all the way, it stayed at like a night light level of brightness. Pretty annoying. The light I found that worked was at Home Depot, an Ecosmart 60W replacement LED that uses just 6.5 watts, come in a 3 pack of A15 of dimmable bulbs. Supposedly, they will last 13 years. Now the lamp works perfectly, at the highest setting gives off plenty of light, and the touch function works perfectly. Very lovely, a welcome addition in our home.

I don't know if it's just an issue with my lamp, but when I plug the lamp in it turns on with a very dim light, about as bright as a nightlight. When I cycle through the settings it returns to this nightlight mode. I like the lamp and think it is lovely, but I find myself concerned that there is no "off" setting. I bought it because I have memories of my grandmother owning one similar to this one. I gave it 4 stars in brightness simply because it isn't very bright, but I do consider it bright enough for what I need. I usually keep it on the lowest setting when taking care of my baby at night. I needed a softer lamp in the nursery that wouldn't disturb the baby when they sleep, though I had original bought it to go on my writing desk.

This is not a luxury lamp. It is cheap, cute and easy to assemble. I wanted it for a bedside lamp for easy nighttime use and for that it works great. I am using a 15 watt dimmable LED bulb that works great for my needs. It is rated for up to 40 watts.

As I was painting my bedroom last summer, I had to move furniture. I decided to 'edit' and cull my things at the same time. I got rid of a big lamp I had on a chest of drawers and replaced it with this lamp. I love it. I have so much more space on the top of my dresser, now. Yeah! I use a dimmable LED bulb with this lamp, which work fine with the 3 brightness levels. I love that when I go into my room when it's dark, I just have to reach over and touch any part of the lamp to get light. That's wonderful. This also adds a bit of whimsy to my bedroom. I'm a female, and it might be considered a feminine lamp, but I think it would work well in anyone's bedroom.

my father loves hummingbirds and at 93 small things like turning on and off a lamp can be a struggle. This touch lamp is a small thing that just helps to make life a little bit easier. It's not a high quality, top of the line lamp but he loves it. It is really very pretty and the important part is that it works well, have not had any issues with it. I purchased the light bulbs off Amazon because of the reviews and I didn't to spend time looking around in stores for them, it was just easier that way. It was packaged well and no problems putting it together.

Hummingbird design is lovely BUT it was a pain to put together and is very cheaply made. Lamp seems to work just fine and for the price is great. Mine is in an out of way spot so I hope it lasts, but at this price it won't be a big loss. I would buy again for the design!

These 3 Hummingbird touch lamps were birthday and anniversary gifts and they loved them. They are beautiful lit up and my daughter uses her for night light in her living room. So very special.
