Review: Excellent product and sound quality but don’t mute MS teams. - Excellent product and sound quality but does not mute MS Teams automatically. I have used this for about a month regularly and it is fantastic - not having to wear a headset for long calls is a big improvement. Easy to setup, excellent sound quality but at least for me does not mute teams when you hit the mute button. Seems to mute zoom correctly but not teams. Of course the sound is muted but it doesn’t update the mute indicator which means people are not sure if you are about to say something. I would still recommend but I just don’t know why it doesn’t do something so simple - perhaps the product is not at fault - I don’t know.
Review: Excelent phone speaker. - Currently I am working from home, so I bought this device as I have to attend many conference calls. Using the bluetooth connection, the sound is fine, but the microphone disconnects in the middle of calls in many occasions, a big inconvenient if you are in a meeting (this happens both using Skype for Business and Cisco Webex). Using the USB connections, for whatever reason, my office desktop (windows 10) cannot handle the speaker. It works fine using a Chromebook. I contacted the Anker customer service, and they thought the device is faulty, but I did not feel confident with the process they suggested to exchange it, and the communication was slow: basically you receive a reply after 24 h, so when you have exchange 3 mails... is four days, with not a lot of progress. Finally, I decide to return the device using the desertcart return service. ***UPDATE*** It seems the problem with the mic is not caused by the PowerConf. I bought two phonespeakers of different brands and have the same problem, so the problem seems to be related with the drivers installed on the Windows 10 office laptop, that I cannot update, I was using. Anker customer service contacted me again and sent me a device, in order to try it again. I have used it with a Chromebook and my Android phone and it works very well, the people on the other side of the line hear me with no problem. It doubles up as speaker and the sound quality is good enough (much better than the speakers of the phone or the laptop). In addition, the size and shape makes it very convenient to take it everywhere.

**Q: Hi, if i use whatsapp to connect several people to a conference call and connect this to my phone by samsung a90 by bluetooth, will that work?**
A: Yes, you can use the PowerConf to have a WhatsApp conference call.

**Q: Does it work with Microsoft Teams, including mute and end call buttons, when you mute does teams show it as muted with mute icon ?**
A: It works with Teams just fine but it will not show as muted on the app when you toggle on the device and vice versa. So you have 2 levels of muting/unmuting for any call: on the app and then the device itself.

**Q: Can your average joe use this also can you just plug this into standard usb socket**
A: Yes I have used both through the laptop, but also plugged into usb in power supply and then connected via Bluetooth to phone or tablet

**Q: Will this work for audio calls (speakers + mic) connected to a phone only via usb-c cable?  i don't want to use bluetooth (due to device restrictions)**
A: No, you can't connect phone directly to device via usb-c other than to charge phone. See description below.

Excellent product and sound quality but does not mute MS Teams automatically. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great addition to the home office

I have now owned this for approx three months and have used it extensively. I bought it due to working from home and the sheer number of conference calls i was now participating in. I primarily use Teams on my work PC. Pro's (using it connected to PC via USB cable) Vastly improved microphones over my surface pro (gen 3) laptop. Clear speaker with good volume adjustment. Nicely made and finish. Good price compared to the competition. Central mute button is very useful on calls and quicker than using the software. PC turns the device on when starting Con's Tried to use it once on bluetooth and even at 2% volume it was ridiculously loud and unusable. I wouldn't play music on it, tried it and there are much better options out there if you need this facility, this is purely designed for calls. Summary: I am really pleased with the device but am using it as an integral part of my home office set up so the portability etc is not relevant to me. I contacted Anker regarding the bluetooth problem and have updated the firmware as recommended but have not tried the bluetooth since so am unsure as to whether this corrected the problem. Overall very pleased with my purchase, had i not encountered the bluetooth issue it would have been 5 stars as i believe products should work as intended out of the box and not be reliant on firmware updates.
