Not a gibson, but a good guitar for the price.
Looks great and plays ok. Banding is near perfect. Needs neck adjusting and the pickups are low end, but what do you expect from a guitar priced this low? For someone who can't afford a gibson and wasn't impressed with the epiphone clones (I wasn't), it's a good start that is very upgradeable. A pair of higher output zebra humbuckers can be found on ebay or amazon for as little as $30 and no reasonable shop would charge you more than $50 to set this baby up.

Fantastic Guitar
I absolutely love this guitar! It sounds great, the fret board is beautiful/ easy to move up and down, looks great, and it came in perfect condition! I would definitely buy another especially for the price. I highly recommend it to anyone. The only problem I have with it is a fret buzz but that's nothing.

Its an ok guitar
Its not the bets guitar, but for the price, its a nice guitar. The body is flat underneath rather than curved which concerns me, but for a guitar from monoprice, a beautiful and nice buy.

Unbelievable for the price
Out of the box, item was packaged well. Guitar was in a foam bag inside a gig bag. Not the best. Consider it icing on the cake. The finish is beautiful. The banding on my guitar was flawless. The frets were filed smooth ( some filings still on fret board ). The action was low and fast. The strings are low grade, and I will be replacing them first thing with D'Addario strings. The pickups are actually quite good for the price of this Axe. Have not checked the resistance or inductance as of yet. The pickup switch feels solid, but the pots have a lot to be desired, and will be replacing them . ( definitely not a deal breaker, as I expected that ) .Tuning pegs were solid with no play. ( jury still out on this, time will tell if it holds tune ) The neck pickup is a little muddy, but I am sure after changing the pots and caps, it will help a lot. If not, then I will replace all the electronics. Intonation was dead on! Great setup Monoprice. Overall, If you are a beginner or novice, do not pass this up! For the rest of you, a good blank would cost way more than the price of this guitar. New strings, some nice humbuckers, and you have an axe you can play out with. If you are on a tight budget, looking for something to modify, or are just starting out, GET THIS BABY! You won't be disappointed. Keep em coming Monoprice!

What a great guitar!!!
150.00 and it plays like 700.00. realy you cant get a better guitar for the price I love this thing. I have a mid 80s Les Paul and the monoprice sound as good or better. the setup was (like others have said) a bit shabby, but it wasn't hard to tweek and that was it. my one sort of complaint is like others have said is the logo on the headstock but its a small one because the rest is just great!

Had to lower the action a little to make the play nicer, to do this I had to change the nut to avoid fret buzz as the nut it came with was a little too deep, also raised the pickups to get a bit more gain, but both of these were just me being greedy, great guitar all round, plays like something triple the price

Well built however switch originally noisy and pickups low output. This cleared up over time playing. Neck nut protuded over edge on neck slightly but not playing issue and should be replaced anyway sometime down the road. Plays really well anywhere on the neck and intonation very good for an original setup.
