Chevrolet & GMC Full-Size Pick-Ups (1988-1998) & C/K Classics (1999-2000) Haynes Repair Manual (Does Not Include Information Specific to Diesel Engines)

I am rebuilding a 1990 Chevy truck. I purchased this book to tell me things I didn't know or understand about the truck. The book is very informative and valuable.

The best way to learn and fix . Been thumbing through it. Very clear instructions and what tools needed. Love it !!!! DO IT

I prefer the Chilton guides over the Haynes ones. Chilton gives more information for removal and installation, but we were in a pinch and needed a guide to fix my son's 1994 GMC Sierra so we could get it registered. Little things bothered us like when it said "installation is the reverse". Also, would have been nice if it included torque specs for us. We had to YouTube and Google those instead. Helped with installation of a new wiper motor and tail lights. It'll do for our kiddo who doesn't know anything about trucks, but he'll probably still have to Google or YouTube a lot. For my husband and I who have purchased multiple guides for our previous vehicles, we still prefer the Chilton ones.

I have the 1994 GMC 1500 Vortec V6 base model. So the review is not necessarily about the quality of the manual. Basically any half wit like me can fix this rudimentary machine. Again this manual does cover everything I need for this truck. Again base model, I pulled the a/c, it's an automatic 2 wheel drive, so between the manual and the Internet it's great for my application. Most importantly I paid a little over $6 with delivery from Goodwill, and the quality of manual is fantastic. I saved something from recycling, helped a good cause, and saved myself a boat load of money. Basically don't hesitate to buy used books from Amaxon.

My friend quit calling to ask how to do repairs on her truck. I can sleep in on weekends now

These books are around £16 new. This one may be difficult to obtain in this country. I bought this second hand in fairly good condition for a very low price of around £2.50 plus reasonable postage. It arrived considerably quicker than quoted on about 16th of Dec as opposed to mid Jan. Its in perfectly useable condition considering they are almost always consulted on with oily hands.

I love these trucks so I definitely had to get the book on them, easy to read if your not comfortable around tools then don’t bother getting this book because as soon as you get it your gunna start twisted wrenches and ratchets trying to do all the fixes at once. Glad that it’s versatile with how many different applications you get with your GM/chevy k1500 c1500 Tahoe suburban Yukon vehicles with instructions and information about the different engines and parts these trucks had 4.3 305 350 6.5 diesel 7.4 was quite surprised how accurate it was and this book has helped me navigate maintenance on my vehicle would recommend it to the novice/beginner or even someone experienced that wants to know everything tit for tat about these trucks the wiring diagrams are a great touch because we all know how wires can be sometimes, sometimes broken in places you can’t see so having this book of knowledge for these trucks was definitely a game changer
