Life After Abortion

Yes I am pro-life. I wasn't before. I was once pro-choice. My two closest girlfriends each had 1 abortion and the other had two. At the time it seemed like the right decision. The one who had one abortion was 18 and worked retail with a boyfriend who was strung out on meth. The other miscarried twice for reasons I am not sure of but I was there for her. We are all in our 50s. Both women never had children. One friend expressed to me that she can no longer be friends with me because of me it pains her to see me with my children. She stopped all communication with me after I had my 2nd child. The other knows the exact age of her aborted children and it haunts her. She talks longingly of the children she could have had. There is a quote from the movie, "a woman carries that child for 9 months, a woman who has had an abortion carries that child forever." This a topic that literally brings out the politics in every conversation. Pregnancy does not know your political leanings. The decision of pregnancy is vividly clear and obvious but for some it is murky and scary. This movie helps those who are faced with the murky and scary decision.

Preachy, propaganda etc. call it what you want. This is a documentary of what happens when you choose to kill your unborn child. As a young woman who was raised a Christian I never had to worry about birth control, abortion clinics and the aftermath that comes from what these women went through. Young girls want romance young boys want sex, it's not hard math. What did surprise me was the huge money making industry abortion is. These doctors are making millions off women who make the difficult decision to kill their unborn child. I wonder if It's your body why not allow yourself to think that the men you sleep with are perhaps using your body, isn't that a wrong also?

Most women according to stats are relieved after an abortion.Like most anti-choice propaganda films there is very little historical data regarding WHY abortions were legalized. Women all over the world will return to cruel, unsafe and unclean methods of terminating pregnancies that would make a seasoned soldier sicken. I am also not surprised that there is almost no mention of the lack of societal support for the child once they are here.

The main woman, a former abortion mill manager, states her goal was essentially to make money so she sold women less effective birth control in order to eventually sell them abortions. This video is clearly some anti-woman, pro-life, propaganda put forward from a religious group. Many of the women allegedly had multiple abortions and were described as being promiscuous while using drugs and alcohol. This is not a true representation of women who have had abortions because it is clearly trying to paint women in a negative light and showing abortion clinics as being terrible for-profit only businesses, which is clearly not true of all women or clinics.

Please recognize the effects it can have on your whole life. No judgement, just sincerity.

Phony, scripted and clearly pushing an agenda. Too bad. A real, honest documentary on the subject sans religious agenda would be a thought-provoking film...But this is clunky, repetitive and ultimately preachy-with ALL the women calling themselves sinners and having that come to Jesus moment.

I honestly after 5 mins. clicked fast forward and then kept skipping throughout to see if it got any better. It completely felt totally scripted and not honest at all. It was like each woman was reading the same line from a prompter. Not going to finish watching this as I'm sure there's much better documentaries out there that aren't so scripted as this and more informative. Not speaking badly of any women that have had an abortion on this documentary, but it was extremely difficult to watch and continue to watch.

I found this film to be very bias and out dated. The women featured tell stories of their experiences from old abortion methods. This film is drenched in bias and serves only as a scare tactic to persuade woman against abortion. All the stories are based on surgical abortions however there are many more abortion performed today through the use of the abortion pill. Yes the process is painful but as a women who has always experienced painful periods and given birth it is no more painful than the cramps and contractions experienced though those situations. This film is without any facts and completely emotion and opinion based. If anything this film aids in the case for more support for abortion education, consuling services, and facilities with compotent staff, which aare better regulated to ensure women don't continue to have the experiences these women had. Speaking though personal experience, the choice to have an abortion is never an easy one and there are always painful emotions that follow. No women wants to make that choice. But thanks to support and education healing from that pain is possible. Yes it is true that you're life will never be the same again but there is still life after an abortion. I'm blessed to have a beautiful son now and have him at a time in my life where I can properly provide for him and ensure he will be healthy. To the women in this film that repeatedly said they were selfish, I want to tell you that the decision you made was selfless because you took on the pain that you prevented your child experiencing by bringing them into the world when you couldn't adequately provide for their emotional and physical needs.
