These hooks run fairly big compared to other brands these in a size 2 are equal to a 1/0 Owner SSW, its a very strong sharp hook. It isnt really a long shank just slighty longer than similar designed J hooks. Makes for a great live bait hook when you need something alittle more stout but not a rebar thick 3x strong hook

Amazing fishing hooks. But smaller than what we wanted. Pictures should show clearly how big they are for us, new buyers of fishing hooks, to help pick the size we wanted. We wanted 3 inch, and there is no guide to show what size of hooks corresponds to 3 inch. We will keep these, but we need to look again.

Would not consider these long shank. Not the sharpest hook on the market but an economical choice. I'll use these to tie rockfish flies, but not too many, my go-to flies will be tied on tiemco's and these hooks will be used for experiments and for flies the certain guests expect. I got the 3/0, wish the shank was a little bit longer.

I have replace all of my treble hooks on my trout lures with these hooks.. Very sturdy, very sharp aggressive hook.

I bought these for my Cuban friends who can't buy a good hook down there. They said when they hooked big fish with the cheap hooks lots of times they straightened the hook or when hooked rocks they would break trying to get them out. My Cuban friends said these hooks break the rocks they are so strong. LOL!!! These hooks are also unbelievably sharp for easy hook sets. I highly recommend!
