I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

Must consider the drill press quality and configuration. These bits are for less critical machining. They have deflection and can walk if stressed to much. Considering the price for this complete set is less than 1 high quality bit you get value with this set, as long as precision is not critical.

Working well for my current project. Sharp enough to cut the aluminum piece I'm working on.

Most DIYers are not going to chuck these up in a big mill but, like me, will try to use in a drill press doing woodworking stuff. This is extremely dangerous and should not be attempted because you WILL injure your hand for an extended period of time. The only exception to this is if you have a good drill press with an X-Y table and securely hold the workpiece in place. A two-hundred-dollar X-Y table is cheaper than a large insurance bill. Otherwise, these mills are great.

They're great for manual milling. Have yet to use them on CNC but I will update after. I used the 3/8" to make a deep slot in some steel tooling. Cut wonderfully and left a great finish. The documentation on these end mills is poor. The table shown here is incorrect, mostly in the flute length category. So if you are planning to use these for CNC make sure you manually measure and input your data rather than trusting the provided dimensions table. Other than that they are perfect! Edit: They're good on CNC as well. No abnormal markings or chatter. Good surface finishes, especially on side milling. They require much lower feeds and speeds than carbide of equivalent size (to be expected). Still a great set. Bought two more. Probably won't last long before needing a resharpen, but great for prototyping.

These are decent for the price but do not expect high quality pieces. I bought these for an art project I had to do for school. I was grinding out some scrap wood with the smallest bit and I actually snapped it in half. I wasn't going super fast by any means I was taking my time and I heard a big snap and knew something was wrong. I took the bit out of the machine and it was only a metal shank and no longer had the cutting edge still attached. I had used the bigger pieces to get most of the cutting done and went in with the smallest one to get the hard to reach spots and to have it break while doing fairly minor work is frustrating. But other than that all the other pieces worked fine. They each came with a single plastic holder and was labeled by size.

I was a little leery about buying them because of the price but they actually worked out pretty good for the project that I was working on. I would recommend them
