I like these chargers, they are good but this one only puts out 2.3 amps max. You need on a car, the 4.3 amp version. Smaller batteries like a motorcycle or other small battery you can use these but, why wouldn't you get the 2 amp more charger that you can do everything with? Same price, more power, just the same electronics which is good and the charger will do more. I like these chargers they do work well, are safe and keep the batteries fully charged without overcharging them and killing them. They are fully electronic and limit charge cycles and rate. I have installed a few for friends and myself and I love them and have confidence in them. Use them all the time in a car that sits for awhile before being used and it works like a charm. The potential for extending battery life and keep working in top notch is what these are supposed to do and they do work. I have not seen one battery fried by these that I have seen on other chargers either.

I purchased this to help keep my batteries charged up and in good condition. I used this product and liked it so much, I bought the Arctic Version of the CTEK charger family.

I use these CTEK chargers on all my atvs. They work great and help prolong battery life.

I have 4 of these now and have had great luck with them over the past few years on Powersports and Automotive applications, highly recommended.

I has a fun car I don’t drive all the time. This keeps it charged. I also have another car that waits a battery that was going bad. I had to wait to get it changed , but left this charger on it over night so it would start every morning. The multiple charger connection are very helpful.

I really like this charger and it seems to work great. However I have one issue with this Kit. It should also include the more standard adapter that is pre-installed on many bikes. The kit does come with it's own pigtail quick connect to be installed which I'll admit is a nicer connection system and I'll use on one of my bikes that doesn't already have the common connecter installed. Just incase anyone is interested, here is the part you'll also need to purchase if you already have the more common pigtail that have a puch together connector that has one post covered and one post bare... High quality charger !! The best !

A great reliable product. This is my second CTEK charger. They are easy to use. I’ve set up the40 for winter storage of my seasonal car. I use the permanent battery harness on both cars and they work perfectly. Reminder , the 40 is only 2 amp and just use it for seasonal storage.

I was trying to find a charger to maintain the lithium battery in my 2023 S1000 motorcycle. The lithium chargers from Noco (Genius 1) and Optimate (Lithium 4s) were either constantly charging the battery and not going into maintenance mode, or they indicated an error with the battery. The CT5 charger from CTEK charged for about 10 minutes then went into 'Care' mode, exactly what I was expecting to see. Also, I called the CTEK support department before ordering and they were great to deal with. I initially thought I needed the larger Lithium US charger but they suggested the CT5 instead as I wasn't going to use it on my car.

If you want a simple battery charger, this one is good. It does not have a large current rating, but used as a tender or for a smaller battery it works fine.
