can this grow botulism after opening?

Botulism is an anaerobe, so opening the tin definitely won't cause it to grow.

It’s a refined cane sugar syrup popular in the EU and in some of my baking but nowhere on my bottle does it state “organic”.

How many milliliters are in the can?

The best answer I can give you is an approximation that the syrup is mostly water. If that's true (I assume it will be close.), then there would be about 454 ml. If you have a can of the syrup, you can submerge it in water and measure how much the water rose in ml. Well, doing that, my can of Lyle's Golden Syrup displaced 400 ml, which I would think is close enough for government work. Enjoy your new found knowledge through my painstaking research :-)
