After divorcing her high school beau (and remaining friends with benefits), having a strained relationship with her father, and hoping to be like anyone but her flighty mother, she is intrigued by a letter inadvertently left in her box. She gets caught up in the fantasy of the letters as well as her sexy neighbor, who appears to have been the intended recipient. She finds a sense of fulfillment and a more dominant side of her personality as a result, which starts to spill into her work life and relationship with her boss.Hart never surprises me with the envelope pushing. While "Switch" was not nearly as excellent as some of her earlier work, it is still a really good novel, mixing eroticism with deep emotion and insight into the protagonist and her motivations. You just never know what alley she will turn down, as the stories take on a life of their own and she never disappoints. After putting it aside for a few months, I picked it up and read it in a day.
