V, the 5th album by LA punk band The Bronx, was produced by Rob Schnapf (Elliott Smith, Beck, FIDLAR), and follows the bands alter-ego's 2014 album Mariachi El Bronx III. If it sounds like they've grown up, fear not - Bronx V is every bit as ferocious and hard-hitting as previous albums, and filled with enough aggression to demolish a small house. Review: Punk for people who like more than just punk - Fresh and vibrant. The Bronx build on their established sound with elements of 60s psych and garage and 70s classic rock guitar. Matt's lyrics are poignant and personal. Punk for people who like more than just punk. Great stuff by a great band. Review: I absolutely love this album - I absolutely love this album. Starts off very aggressive and let's you know they still can go strong. Strong melodies throughout the album.

Solid Punk
This has a very early punk sound, which i absolutely love. Reminds me a bit of Suicidal Tendencies, Dead Kennedys, and a bit of the Damned.

I was fortunate enough to discover The Bronx after their last album
I was fortunate enough to discover The Bronx after their last album. The brilliant "IV", so I'm not a long time fan. But man, do I love that album. It's pretty much a perfect example of what a punk/post punk/rock album should be. Melodic, aggressive, filled with attitude, but with lyrics that are intelligent and sometimes (most times) strike a chord. Even to this day, I still listen to IV in it's entirety at least once a month. So when I just recently heard that V (BRVNX) had come out, I bought it immediately. After a few listens, I can say that it's good, but it didn't immediately move me and demand my attention like IV did. To be fair, I've only given it about 4 back to back listens, so I'm sure it will grow on me. Sometimes these sorts of albums are the greatest gems anyway. One thing I've noticed, maybe I'm crazy, or just getting old, but this album overly compressed (to the edge of distortion sometimes)?

spews out the essence of hard-assed rock โnโ roll
5th album from Los Angeles band who play ferocious full-frontal-force punk rock blast-off songs that mix equal parts old-school screamo hardcore and fast tempo bounce-around-the-room hard-driving rock โnโ roll. Thereโs a bit of glam, some vehement political/social change messages, and a rockinโ boatload of fun! Theyโre not afraid to throw it in your face, but they also revel in melody and classic rock chords. Something like a mix of Danko Jones, Bad Religion, Ramones, AC/DC, Slade, Social Distortion, Murder City Devils, Black Flag, Husker Du. โThe Bronx Vโ spews out the essence of hard-assed rock โnโ roll with a sweaty, smiling sneer.
