It works!!
Excellent product! This little gem updated my Bose Sound Dock speaker to connect with my iPhone 15 via Bluetooth. And the Bose remote still works as well. I'm very pleased, as the Bose Sound Dock has such wonderful sound compared to the other options on the market. The Ziocom instructions are quite complete and easy to apply. I noticed that another similar product did not connect the remote, so glad I noticed that detail and ordered the Ziocom.

Works with Altec Lansing IMT810 - if anyone else out there still uses one
Despite the contradicting product image pic showing the receiver was not compatible with an Altec Lansing IMT810 and the Product Description saying it was compatible, I rolled the dice and bought one. I got it this morning and tried it out. It works beautifully. The connection to my iPod Touch was just like most other Bluetooth devices: Turn on > Set to pair > Select in iPod, and listen. It has a physical power switch, which is kind of nice — no holding down a combo pair/power button to annoy you when it starts looking for something new to pair with because you held the button for too long or not long enough, and no app to download. I’ve been listening to it all morning using different apps, and the Music app without any audio issues. It gets its power from the dock connection, so no charging, which is a bonus! I can get rid of the rechargeable Bluetooth receiver plugged into one of the AUX ports. The startup and shutdown sounds ARE…different. The startup has some circus-sounding music in the background, with a kid’s voice saying “he-llo” and then “connected.” When turning off, some baby mobile-sounding music starts and then “bye…” See the video for a demonstration. I can live with the voice - there’s always mute - for a device that works and lets me listen to my music without worrying about it running out of juice or having to remove it to charge it.

Plays nicely
This adapter plays nicely it two ways. First, it sounds good when compared to a CD of the same music, at least when the music system and the listener (me) are both reduced in high frequency sensitivity. It also plays nicely with other bluetooth adapters. When it is unpaired from my iPhone, it does not force a repairing. This may seem like little to ask, but I've recently bought a bluetooth music adapter that does not play nice, and actually prevented me from connecting to other music adaptors. I found the adapter to have one other good feature. It can pair with two other devices at the same time, in my case a Mac and an iPhone. Thus I can play music from either phone or computer without having to unpair from either. I found the adapter to have one bad feature. The adapter goes to sleep if it is not paired to any device at all, and has to be turned back on to repair. I would think that the power required to leave the adapter running would be too small to warrant a sleep mode, do I don't understand this design choice. I get around this by leaving the adapter paired with my Mac when I leave the house with my iPhone. So all in all, I would recommend this adapter if you have a music device with a male 30 pin old-style iPod or iPhone connector. I've used it in an iHome iPod dock. I've also used it in an Apple iPod dock, but I had to plug the 3 mm mini audio plug directly into the jack of the adapter instead of plugging into the dock -- no big deal, really. In fact, I would recommend this adapter to anyone who wants to hook up an old stereo. All one would need would be a 30 pin iPod or iPhone USB charging cable and a 3.5 mm mini audio cable that splits into RCA plugs. I had no trouble maintaining pairing as long as the adapter and my iPhone were in the same room. My thought about the most troublesome aspect of bluetooth devices, which is random disconnections or glitches, is that there are many other devices that emit in the same frequency band, and which might cause interference. So performance of this device in your home may vary from the experience I have had.

Works for the kicker IK501 iPod dock!!!!
Works as intended and can confirm it does work for the kicker amphitheater IK501 iPod speaker dock. My only gripe is the on/off switch and it does power off on its own but not power back on so you’ll have to cycle the switch. So far this is the only one that works for this dock, I guess this speaker dock is very obscure but sounds as good if not better than a lot of Bluetooth speakers on the market.

Brought my old BOSE back to life!!!
I absolutely love these. I bought multiple for various older radios. I’ve also been able to revive some old Bose Soundock 2s I found at Goodwill for a few bucks. Perfect sound and easily connects.

Stereo Saver!
This little thing revived my old stereo! I have an old CD/Radio/Ipod dock and this lets me connect my phone via bluetooth and turn what would have been an antiquated and obsolete item into something I can use everyday. This fits for an original style iPod connection, not usb or lightning.
