Small, Yet Mighty!
I wanted to wait to write a review until I had tested the Little Green on multiple types of stains on various fabrics/carpets, and it has not disappointed. So far, I've had 100% success cleaning up cat vomit, dog bile, and mud. These stains were cleaned off a wool throw rug, nylon/polyester blend carpet, and polyester upholstery, respectively. I used the provided Bissel Spot & Stain Febreeze solution and didn't find it to have an overwhelming scent. Pros: - It works which is the biggest thing for me! Plus, a couple of these stains, like the cat vomit one on the living room wool rug, had been there for months and nothing I tried would get it out. - The machine is relatively light to carry around and is compact to stow away when finished. - I liked that the electrical cord was very long which made it easy to use in rooms with only a few outlets. - Any animal lover will know that no matter how much vacuuming you do, there's always going to be some stray hairs left behind. I'm pleasantly surprised that the Little Green has yet to get clogged while I've been cleaning. I always wash the pieces after each use, but it seems like my Lab's hair could clog anything. But, not Little Green! Cons: - I wish I could remove the hose completely to clean it, but the parts that can be removed to clean are easy to do so. - When you load up the water-solution mixture into its tub and turn it upside down to install it into the machine, it does leak a little bit. Once it's in the machine, it doesn't continue leaking but it did catch me off guard the first time I used it thinking I did something wrong. - I wish the instructions told me how best to use each of the attachments. It tells you how to install them, but I had to search online for more guidance on appropriate usage. Overall, the cons are very small things compared to the pros. Especially if you have animals (or children), I would highly recommend this little guy. I've been telling family and friends about it ever since I got mine!

Works great and is easy to use
Great little spot and stain cleaner, 5 stars. I also like that Bissell helps support homeless pets. I have an upright room carpet shampooer for general carpet cleaning, but it is heavy, more difficult to empty, and doesn't do as good a job on heavy spots and stains as the Little Green does. After getting up any solids and excess with paper towels, this lets you scrub the problem area as needed and control how much solution you use on it with the hand held tool. Then use several extra passes to suction it almost dry. Much more convenient and easier to use on small areas than a big shampooer, unless you want to do a whole room or large area of course. It's also good for cleaning upholstery. While advertised for pets, it's just as helpful for kids' accidents as well as for spills and such on carpet or upholstery. The suction slot is across the very front edge of the attachment, so you can spray, scrub with the bristles, and/or suction separately or at the same time, depending on the angle you hold it and whether you press the spray trigger. This thing is simple to use and wonderful! The tanks are easy to remove. it's very easy to fill using the solution and water lines printed on the tank and to empty the dirty water tank into a toilet and rinse it out. Also rinse off the rubber gasket on the bottom of the dirty water tank. It even has an attachment to easily clean its own hose and internal parts. The scrubbing attachment swished clean in water. It also includes a spray crevice tool but I haven't used that one. A small bottle of the special cleaning solution for portable machines is included. The oxy formula came with mine instead of the kind shown. I also ordered a larger bottle of the pro oxy solution at the same time to have on hand. You will need a Phillips head screwdriver to attach a bracket with one included screw; not sure why that isn't done at the factory. I had to use a little pressure to screw it in but no big deal. There is one little hose clip that easily snaps on. (The machine would still work the same without those, but they help store the hose neatly.) Also the tube (like a little drinking straw) had fallen inside the clean water tank but I just slipped it back on once I figured out where it attached to part of the cap. It does need that piece to work, so check that it's attached. There is a newer boxy model that is black that was on sale for the same $99 price and also gets good reviews, but I had already ordered this green one, which is actually cuter, LOL. I wish I had bought this years ago. It's a very useful portable cleaner especially if you have kids, pets, or are clumsy.

Lifesaver
Our dog got a disease from a wild animal and had diarrhea all over my studio rug and our bedroom rug all night before we knew she was sick. I tried spot cleaning with a rag and vinegar water and it left yellow stains. I tried letting some dry and scraping it up and then spot cleaning, and that was better but not thorough. I didn't want the expense of replacing both wool rugs, so I ordered this magical spot cleaner and am so happy I did. In about an hour I got everything up from both rugs, including set-in stains I had tried for a week to get out by soaking and blotting. The design makes it easy to move around behind me. It's not too heavy, even full of water. And the amount of water it holds did the spots on both rugs. The compact design makes it easy to use and store. You'll need one smallish Phillips screwdriver to assemble it, but the other parts snap into place, and it's easy enough that my 4-year-old granddaughter helped me with assemble and running it. She loves sucking the dirty water back out of the rug with the brush hand tool. The suction is powerful. I got at least half the water back in the waste tank, and oh my, it was dirty. The rug felt pretty dry when it was over and I didn't worry about it warping the wood floor underneath. I had to crawl around on the floor, which I wouldn't with an upright, but the convenience of this spot cleaning tool is worth it. It's so much easier to handle and store and to spot clean furniture. And it fits into tight spaces better and even sits on an end table quite comfortably. In the end, it got up all the biologic material and most of the stains. There is a faint bit of yellow in one spot on each rug where I tried to clean before and just ground it in deeper. But it removed most of it, and anyone who doesn't know it's there won't see it. And it picked up such a mess that I didn't know if I'd ever get it all out. It works well, and I'm so happy to have it. The quality seems good. But I think plastic attachments and clips may break off if banged around too much. It's not an industrial machine, but it exceeds my expectations for home use.

Helpful and does the job!
I’ve been using the BISSELL Little Green for a while now, and it’s honestly one of those “why didn’t I buy this sooner?” tools. It’s perfect for quick cleanups—spills on the couch, carpet stains, and especially car seats. The spray + scrub + suction combo works really well and pulls out way more dirt than you expect. What I like most is how portable it is. It’s lightweight and easy to carry around, so I don’t have to drag out a full-size cleaner for small messes. The suction is surprisingly strong for such a compact machine, and it does a great job lifting stains from upholstery and rugs. It’s especially useful if you have pets or kids since it handles everyday messes really well. The targeted spray and suction system makes spot cleaning simple and effective. The water tanks are easy to fill and empty, and cleanup is straightforward. That said, the tank is a bit small, so you’ll need to refill for bigger jobs, and the cord could be longer. Still, those are minor trade-offs. Overall, it’s a super handy, reliable cleaner that I reach for all the time—it makes spot cleaning fast and actually kind of satisfying.

Good compact unit, cleans well.
This is a nice compact unit. It does well what it’s designed for, that is, small spots like heavily soiled areas in front of chairs where people’s feet go, spills and local area cleaning, but not a whole carpet. The design is super simple and obvious to the user, so using it is intuitive. The unit cleans really dirty areas very well, though you might have to go over crazily dirty areas more than once. The spray area fan for the cleaning solution is the perfect size, the vacuum suction to get the dirty solution back out is strong enough to leave the cleaned carpet just damp. It takes up little storage space due to the compact, all-in-one design. The hose and nozzles store on board so nothing gets separated and lost. I like the compactness most of all. You can see the level of cleaning solution through the clear plastic tank, and you can see the level of dirty solution being vacuumed out through the other clear plastic tank. Both tanks and the vacuum hose are easy to clean and there is a hose end nozzle for self-cleaning the vacuum hose. I can’t think of anything to complain about.

A Lifesaver for White Couches with Toddlers at Home
This product is a must-have if you have a white couch and a toddler in the house. It’s lightweight and easy to carry, and one tank is enough to clean an entire three-seater sofa. Just spray the solution and let the strong suction do its job—it works really effectively. Fresh stains come out in one pass, while older stains may need a second round, but the results are still impressive.

Would Give 10 Stars if I Could - This MACHINE is AWESOME!
First let me say I don’t normally take time to write reviews but I just had to share my story because I’m still giddy about how well this machine worked. I recently purchased a beautiful cream, designer chair at a furniture consignment shop and the lighting must have been bad in the store because I didn’t notice at all that it was quite dirty. I was just so excited that it was exactly what I had been looking for - color, size, style and price! When I got it home it was perfect in every way EXCEPT the off-white that was so perfect in the fluorescent lighting was a dingy EWWW in the natural light of our living room. I took the armrest covers off and YUCK! I noticed how dirty the arms were and then noticed that I hadn’t looked that closely on the store - there were spots all over the chair! The store doesn’t take returns AND I loved everything about the chair except the grime and spots (how did I not notice those in the store???) so I googled best upholstery cleaner and the BISSELL Little Green Machine showed up as top-rated in multiple blogs so I searched for it on Amazon. It had awesome reviews confirming what the blogs has said so I ordered it. It came super-fast and was easy to set up. I got to work. Well, my sweet husband got to work. My plan was to have him handle the task as he’s usually in charge of the grimy stuff. Love that man. 😊🙏 Well I had no idea cleaning upholstery could be so fun! This little machine sucked the grime right out! It was really satisfying to see it get sucked out right before my eyes. Before my husband knew it, he was free to watch his baseball game because I had taken over. When I was finished the cream chair looked like new! And I didn’t stop there. I had a 14-year old blue chair in my home office that had weathered two babies, lots of journaling and phone conversations with my feet tucked up underneath me, latte spills and just…a full life! Our whole family loves mommy’s blue chair as it’s where good conversations and snuggles have happened my kids’ entire lives. When we recently remodeled our home I was looking for a new chair for myself. My whole family protested because they loved it so much. It bummed me out because - well LOOK at the “before” photos of the blue chair I posted. Our whole house was clean and fresh from the much-needed after 17 years in the house remodel. Having to look at that chair, as much as I loved the memories of it, grossed me out. So when I finished the cream chair I thought, I’m going to see what the BISSELL Little Green Machine could do for the blue chair. I figured, worst case scenario it would make it worse and then I’d HAVE to get my new chair. 😀 I honestly didn’t think it would make a difference. I had actually had a professional rug + upholstery cleaner look at it and say he couldn’t do anything to make it look better just two months ago during the remodel. So despite seeing the INCREDIBLE results on the cream chair, my expectations were low. Additionally, this was an inexpensive chair with a sueded microfiber fabric - not nearly as well made as the cream chair so I wasn’t sure if the not super-sturdy fabric would withstand the cleaning fluid or brush. I was blown away. As you can see by the Before and After photos - the BISSELL mighty little machine did an amazing job!!! The blue chair is saved and we are ALL excited. Yes, even me. 😃 I just wish I would have taken videos of cleaning the blue chair - the water was SO dirty. GROSS! Again though, it was SO satisfying throughout the process to see the dirt come out and have brand new chairs. This machine is WELL worth the very reasonable price and I also absolutely love being able to restore two chairs rather than buy new ones. Less landfill and consumerism to help the planet. And the pocketbook!!! A little technique scoop (if you’re still reading) - on the cream chair we sprayed the cleaning water from the machine on the area, then sprayed Resolve and let it sit for a minute or two before we sucked up the dirt. The Resolve did make the dirty water in the tank pretty foamy and I’m not sure if it could damage the machine or the chair but when we tried it we were kind of thinking we didn’t have anything to lose as the fabric was so grungy when we got it home to natural light, we would not have kept the chair if the BISSELL didn’t work. The machine seems totally fine and of course the chair is now clean and beautiful! I could not possibly love this little machine more and now I can feel much more confident with all of our new carpet and furniture because if we get a spill or a stain this lightly little green machine will take care of it! I highly recommend the BISSELL Little Green Machine!

TLDR: Buy this machine. It works great, you will be impressed!
This is a lifesaving machine for carpet owners. I recently moved into a house that was built in the 90's. There is a lot of carpet inside that I think was original with the house. The cool thing is that the carpet was in IMMACULATE condition. Most carpet I've seen looks worse after one year than this carpet looks after 26 years. So, you can imagine how upset I was that 3 months after moving in I spilled an entire cup of strong, thick, black coffee right in the dining room area. I immediately tried blotting it up with paper towel. That left the carpet a bit drier, but incredibly stained! Fortunately (at least I thought I was fortunate), I had several carpet cleaning products on hand. I used them all to no avail. There was literally no difference (the first photo I uploaded is after cleaning it with several products) after spending more than 2 hours cleaning this darn spot. I thought that there must be something else I can try before giving, and that is when I found this Little Green Machine. Setting this up was incredibly easy. The instructions were simple (about 5 steps) and easy to follow. There is a grand total of one screw that needs to be fastened, so make sure you have a small Phillips head available. Next, you must fill the tank with a mixture of water and cleaning solution. The tank includes a handy line to easily visualize the amount of solution you are adding without the need for other measuring equipment. The instructions advise you to top the tank off with hot tap water (do no use boiling water) and the machine is ready to go. In the case of an emergency, this could be set up in ready to go in 2 minutes or less. To clean, you simply plug the machine into the nearest power outlet, spray the stain using the trigger on the cleaning head, let the solution "set" for a few minutes, the scrub/vacuum the moisture up. The suction seems quite powerful and does a good job of removing a significant amount of the solution you sprayed the carpet with; it doesn't get ALL of the moisture, though, but the area is typically dry by morning. Most people writing the reviews on this machine have used it on pet stains, and it would seem they are happy with the result. How did it fare against my coffee stain? Pretty darn well! The before and after picture will give you the best idea of how it did, but I can say I am happy with the way my carpet looks again. I can still see the stain, simply because I know exactly where it is, but I had guests over the other night that can pick it out...this provides a relief that I cannot express in words. This product does exactly what it states, so I really have to grasp at straws to try and find something they could improve. Maybe the suction hose could be a bit longer, or the solution tank could be heated. None of these "issues" are pressing though. A couple of tips for the new user; make sure you let the solution "set" in the stain you are trying to remove. The instruction guide suggests allowing the stain to soak for 5 or 6 minutes before sucking it up. Suck up the solution from all angles to get the best results, and don't be afraid to clean the spot a few times. The coffee stain you see in the photos required me to clean the area twice over the weekend to get the level of stain removal I was seeking. TLDR: Buy this machine. It works great, you will be impressed!
